White was pretty raw, basically only played in high school save for a handful of USHL games and the U18s.

Boeser already has a full season in the USHL and led the league in goals. I'm more worries about that college loophole than him busting.

6o4__boi 06-29-2015 07:10 AM

Lol was just reading the so-called top 10 free agents from the score and they are hideous.
:fuckthatshit:
Scrubs will get paid big money and then disappear next year.
I hope JB doesn't do anything.

spoon.ek9 06-29-2015 07:17 AM

if we're staying true to the "get younger" movement then JB should in fact be doing nothing as you say. we'll see...

6o4__boi 06-29-2015 07:22 AM

He still has to re sign a bunch of rfa's
hopefully that takes away any cap wiggle room so he won't do anything stupid....like, oh say, sign Brandon "plug" McMillan to anything remotely resembling a contract.

Is there a list of under 27 years old or so UFAs out there?

Benning better not follow this meme and sign a plug to a contract: :lawl:

Lol Pratt "well, to say it doesn't make sense is an understatement, it's honesty one of the worst trades I've ever seen this organization make, and in the 40 years the Canucks have been around you may have never said it before, but the franchise actually looks worse after the draft then before"

Jmac 06-29-2015 08:03 AM

We paid Dorsett $10.6M over 4 years because intangibles.

sonick 06-29-2015 08:10 AM

Hodgson being bought out

6o4__boi 06-29-2015 08:19 AM

C'mon JB. Cheap ass centre on the market in Hodgson. Get er done!
:troll:

:just a tinge semisrs:

Lol imagine a Line centres by Hodgson with Kassian on the wing. Who wins the trade now Sabres?

While I disagree with the contract length, the money wasn't really that ludacris, at the time everyone was getting paid.

To put it on perspective Brandon Prust was given a 4 year/10m contract, and they're arguably the same player.

The guy did put up 25pts, played every with his heart on his sleeve every shift in every possible roll.

the fact pratt is so upset about the team is probably a good thing, guy doesnt know shit. for the picks we had i think we did good, 4th and 6th rounder have a chance and should both be drafted on tuesday in chl import draft

anyone else thinking mike richards ends up in chicago?

If he is bought out, he'll be a free agent.
Some team can offer him a 1 year deal at the league minimum and see how well of a fit he is.
Since he is still getting paid by LA, I'm sure he'll take it unless some other GM is willing to gamble and offer more than the league minimum. :rukidding:

dbaz 06-29-2015 08:55 AM

he will sign a contract similar to brad richards 2mil or less.

or go on a massive bender with stoll

Jmac 06-29-2015 09:11 AM

Difference is that Brad Richards is/was still a top 6 forward; just not a $6.7M forward.

Mike Richards is nowhere close to that level at this point.

imo hes a tweener now, the partying has obviously had a bit of an effect on his body.

i kind of like that bieksa didnt get traded at the draft. imo the defense in fa is weak, so theres a chance the canucks can get more if a team fails with a fa, or at the trade deadline

6o4__boi 06-29-2015 09:19 AM

Bieksa's gonna be on the starting line up in October lol
if that was on playnow i'd put some money on it

Pratt is a tool, I don't understand why they brought him back.
Best part of my morning drive is when Aaron Ward comes on and rips him a new one.

First things first, get rid of Jake.

They both need to go.

highfive 06-29-2015 09:38 AM

Wasn't Pratt the one saying Gaborik is coming here or we are getting Shea Weber?

lol, they made me stop listening to sports radio in the morning.

Side note, we know we felt the draft as a fail, I forgot where I saw it but it seems like all the players or majority of them played really well in the ivan hlinka tournament last August.

I checked and Brock Boeser was second in scoring.

Hondaracer 06-29-2015 09:38 AM

The sad thing is, most of the time now Jake is actually the voice of reason

pastarocket 06-29-2015 09:39 AM

What we really need for local sports radio/TV is Onrait and O'Toole.

It's too bad there's no media outlet that has the money to outbid Fox Sports.

-having Onrait and O'Toole in Vancouver would be gold! :accepted:

I'm on the road between 6:10 and 6:50, which means that I would be listening to the "Grapevine" for the majority of my commute, anyways.

The only time I'll tune in is when they have a guest like Marc Crawford or Liam Maguire on. Otherwise, I may as well be listening to a pop station.

Boeser was tied for 1st in scoring with 35 goals with 2 other players; he did it in the fewest number of games.
