No Gaudreau in the tourney, unless you are referring to the regular season and assuming Nurse earns a spot. |

On a related note to the prospects tournament, I'm very disappointed with the lack of goaltenders we've drafted over the past 5 seasons, thus resulting in us exclusively using camp invites in net the past 2 tournaments. There have been 109 goaltenders drafted over the past 5 drafts, which works out to an average of 3.63/team. We've drafted 2 (Demko and Honzik), about half the league average and, let's face it, Honzik had no business being drafted to begin with (mediocre Q goalie who had one stellar playoff series, got drafted, and then reverted back to being a mediocre Q goalie. Shocker, I know) let alone with a mid-3rd. Our next youngest goaltender to Demko is Markstrom, who turns 26 is January :okay: |

Ehlers with a huge dive |
liking zhukenov. has good vision, passing, but you can tell hes still getting used to the smaller ice surfaces. |
virtanen got virtanen'd |
Snipe by McCann Shinkaruk is everywhere |
Sautner now working on 2 absolutely brutal games. |
i wander if cederholm and sautner will even get an invite to the comets training camp, straight to the zoo? lol also virtanen is throwing muffins at the net tonight |
cederholm is too slow lol After skimming through these 2 games, I wonder whether Virtanen or McCann gets called up first? |

dont see either making a full time jump in those times. from the notable prospects we have virtanen will get 9 games, then sent down & traded from calgary gaunce will get a couple call ups this year, and challenge for a spot at next years camp mccann is ohl bound, and full year ahl next year cassels is in ahl all year unless theres lots of injuries one of subban/hutton gets a couple games when a ton of d are injured |
Virtanen is Bennings golden boy and the RW slot is his to lose IMO. Gaunce also has a legit chance of making it as the 4th line center (not sure if he's still being used as a winger though) |
Because he's not going to be a centre for the canucks. Not enough footspeed to be first man back imo. Plus horvat, McCann, cassels are all better than him. He has more value as a 3rd line winger who is defensively responsible and can chip in offensively. I think he has more offensive upside but think of like a mike keane type of player. Solid simple game during regular season, huge playoff player type imo |
