What suppose to happen is hamhuis waives no trade goes to the Hawks wins Stanley cup the resigns in Van in the summer for cheap...after today's Ladd trade looks like that it might fuck us in the ass...

Unless hamhuis still waives to go to Hawks and we pick up a 3rd and that 21year old stud damn they have in their system!

I think they don't have there 2nd round pick anymoren

Blackhawks have no 1st or 2nd round pick in this year's draft. The earliest round they draft in is the 3rd

JB will probably keep everyone now because we're on a 2-game winning streak and have a slightly less awful chance of making the playoffs.

If that scenario happens, I hope Aquaman gets screwed out of playoff game revenue with the team not making the playoffs!

Isn't he making millions selling blueberries, greasy shit Pizza Hut pizza, and condos? -also that profit from hazardous waste disposal in the Philippines.

I hope JB picks up Pokka. Our defense could use a guy with an intimidating face. He could scare some opposing forwards with that face.

I have a nickname for Pokka already: Finnish Creeper.

-latest TSN Insider news:

Trade Talk: Boedker could be next to move before deadline - Article - TSN

Next to move?

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, joined by ESPN's Scott Burnside, Craig Custance and Joe McDonald, writes in Friday's Morning 3-on-3 on ESPN.com that with the trade of Andrew Ladd, the domino effect should be in play, leading to more activity in the trade market.

LeBrun says that this news should be particularly good for the Arizona Coyotes who are trying to move pending UFA forward Mikkel Boedker and now could see him become a target of teams that were trying to acquire Ladd.

He points out that Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson has the most talent of possible trade targets but that the team is still trying to sign him prior to the deadline.

Other notes include the Kings speaking to the Oilers about Teddy Purcell and P.A. Parenteau, Lee Stempniak and Jamie McGinn all being options among the pending UFAs.

In the same piece, ESPN’s Scott Burnside asks if Carolina Hurricanes forward Eric Staal could end up with the New York Rangers with head coach Alain Vigneault talking about being in favour of making additions up front.

Edmonton in play?

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports that the Oilers have been listening to offers for several players including winger Nail Yakupov.

Garrioch says that the Nashville Predators have shown interest in the 22-year-old, but the asking price is high and could be difficult to meet.

Speculating that the Yakupov deal could also happen in the offseason, he says that the Oilers are more focused on moving Justin Schultz, Lauri Korpikoski and Teddy Purcell before the deadline.

It's gonna be so hard to focus on work on trade deadline Monday.

TSN Trade Centre!

Sens and Stars may be trade partners?

NHL Trade Rumours: Could the Ottawa Senators Swap Patrick Wiercioch for the Dallas Stars' Valeri Nichushkin? - Silver Seven

After Chris Wideman's extension, it's looking more and more likely that the Senators will look to offload Patrick Wiercioch and his $2.7M salary before he becomes an RFA. It's no secret that Bryan Murray has coveted a top-six forward for his entire life a few years now, and if the team could get one for Wiercioch you have to assume he'd pull the trigger. It seems very unlikely that the Lightning would take PW as the centrepiece in a trade for this season's most rumoured young forward, Jonathan Drouin, but an interesting name has surfaced in the last couple of days: the Dallas Stars' Valeri Nichushkin. Trading him wouldn't be the team's first choice, but as Defending Big D has written, he could be available if he brought back a piece the team was looking for. After all, the Stars have a number of promising forward prospects, too many to all make the NHL team, and at some point someone will have to be traded. It remains to be seen if it will be AHL players, established forwards, or a combination thereof who will be shipped out.

Among the Stars' eight NHL defencemen this season, three (Alex Goligoski, Jason Demers, and Jordie Benn) will be UFAs, while Jamie Oleksiak will be an RFA. It seems unlikely that they will be able to retain both Demers and Goligoski, and so the team may be interested in acquiring a younger asset that will be an RFA in the summer. The Stars tend to be more of an analytics-based organization that the Sens, and as such may see Wiercioch as an opportunity to get a player who hasn't been played much but the underlying numbers say is good.

Just listened to Weisbrod speak and ask questions for about 30 minutes at rogers.

He said that the top 12 players int he draft are going to be solid franchise players.

The way he spoke of the 22-27 age player gap in this organization really made me think that we will continue to see trades like the granlund/larson/baerstchi

Someone talked about rumors that Pittsburgh was an active seller and when he responded he kind of stumbled and made it seem like it was just a rumor but it seemed like he was shocked that something got leaked.

I think he's out to lunch if he thinks the top 12 players in any draft are all solid franchise players. Even the legendary 2003 draft had a complete bust and another few that only became decent NHLers in the top 12.
