Didn't it seem like lucic is wanting to stay in LA? Maybe it's just writing on the wall to cover up for moving In the summer, but seemed like LA was making a push to sign him.

It seemed like that but then all of a sudden there was no talk about re-signing him which makes me think the reason why is he wants to come to his home town so he's closer to his family since his dad it now gone.

edler tanev
hutton sbisa
pedan tryamkin(if he signs here)
larsen biega

and where does dumbass managment see where hamhuis fills in here? plus how can they add another dman in the off season when its this full?

dbaz 03-04-2016 12:01 PM

Buy out Sbisa. Would be a 1.52mil cap hit, money easily saved even with a replacement for him

Larsen is right d. Trymankin can play both, was playing right side in Khl which is his off-side. Beiga ahl.

Edler-tanev
Hamhuis-Larsen
Hutton-trymankin
Pedan

murd0c 03-04-2016 12:07 PM

I can't see them buying out Sbisa since he is Bennings guy and all

CRS 03-04-2016 12:11 PM

Sbisa hasn't been nearly as bad this season. Say what you want but he's actually improved quite a bit.

I agree, he's been one of our better D this season and I wouldn't mind keeping him around since he does play physical

From the games I've seen, aside from a few boneheaded plays Vey has also improved a lot compared to last year (sure, low bar but it's still an improvement).

The way he protects the puck and makes better outlet passes is something I can see him doing as a winger on this team going forward.

Though I'm sure 99% of this forum disagrees

I want to see a Tryamkin / Pedan pairing. The Russian Towers has a nice ring to it.

I'm sure Hamhuis will get resigned this summer. Which clogs everything up. Sbisa won't get bought out because it was a GMJB signing. If Gillis had signed Sbisa to that contract then he wouldn't have problem buying it out. What can Edler fetch on the trade market at this stage? Oh wait, he has a full NTC >.<

pastarocket 03-04-2016 12:30 PM

Dim Jim is getting the Canucks version of Chara with Tryamkin? :considered:

Interesting.

dbaz 03-04-2016 12:31 PM

Not hard to look better when half the team has mailed it in, and there's multiple rookies playing. Keeping certain players in these situations though would be oilers management level(Vey for sure, Dorsett can unfortunately at least be a punching bag).

Tryamkin, if he successfully adapts to nhl rinks quickly, brings the same as Sbisa, if not more physicality

Gaunce, Baer, Hansen, Virtanen all bring more than Vey(Hes also older than Etem, and Granlund who are better). Then remember we have contracts like Burrows, and Dorsett where they will be kept on the team unless traded. On top of that players that will be signed as UFAs (Eriksson/Lucic), and Rodin coming over. Vey is AHL or gone.

Nabatron 03-04-2016 01:05 PM

JB isnt buying out sbisa...and pretty sure they wont put biega in the minors because he signed a 2 year one way...

Nabatron 03-04-2016 01:07 PM

as for a guy like burrows I dont know where I see a fit on the team unless its on the 4th line...he in my opinion is done! he cant score or put up any points...just barely a shootout specialist...

He can only do a few things.
Penalty kill, be that veteran voice for the kids, and play on the 4th line with Dorsett.
When his contract ends, that might be the end of Burrows in the NHL.
But then again, he has the exact same skill set as Higgies so maybe off to the AHL for Burrs next season.

Nabatron 03-04-2016 01:15 PM

i just dont see anything great out of burrows beside pk...i mean its crazy i watched the year he scored 30 goals plus on youtube and he was legit scoring from anywhere...but he was also playing with the sedins!

Nabatron 03-04-2016 01:17 PM

higgins is just a pretty boy who thought his spot was safe cuz he had a contract...when he started to not work hard and play like a bag of shit thats when management woke up and send his trash ass to the minors!

The only thing one way means is that he makes the same amount of money whether hes in the AHL or NHL. At 750k he will be the first call up if he passes waivers. No reason to lose pedan for him

I hate how full of shit this current management team is. If they're not full of shit then they're stupid.

Seriously? They expect us to believe this?

pastarocket 03-04-2016 01:57 PM

Dim Jim and Linden have their heads in the sand if they think that knowledgeable hockey fans of the Canucks are gonna believe the spin job they did at the town hall meeting.

The "Fire Benning" and "Aquilini Sucks" chants need to happen this month at Rogers Arena!

Dorsett as a "foundational piece" is all you need to read before you know this group has no idea wtf they're doing.

Seriously, a website to post players available for trade? What is this? Yahoo Fantasy hockey?

If Dorsett is seen as a "foundational piece" for this franchise, that explains the Willie D. line combo of Dorsett playing with the Sedins. :lawl:

WD briefly put his "franchise winger" Dorsett playing with the twins instead of Vrbata. :lawl:

The current management personnel could not even manage a 7 Eleven properly!

Ch28 03-04-2016 02:58 PM

They say that now after the trade deadline where they moved absolutely ZERO DIMINISHING ASSETS

TjAlmeida 03-04-2016 03:04 PM

What's everyone think of Okposo? 6' 217lbs and plays right wing. Will be a UFA after this summer and it doesnt seem like he will be returning to the islanders. Unless the islanders trade his rights to another team.

spoilered my lineup composition for next year.

Spoiler!
