Saw marko dano of the jets tonight who was suppose to be traded to the canucks +1st round pick for hamhuis

Kid shows no fear and always has his feets moving

Nabatron 03-14-2016 09:28 PM

I think it was dano a pick and bickell but don't think it was a first because Hawks traded it for Ladd

radioman 03-14-2016 09:36 PM

So you guys are forgetting the fact that hamhuis only gave 1 team and it wasn't the hawks?

It was Dano + 1st. Hamhuis and Canucks took too long to get back to Bowman so he took that 1st to Winnipeg for Ladd.

Real talk! CH28 was in the war room filling Benning's coffee mug when it all went down

Mike Oxbig 03-14-2016 10:27 PM

Dano with 3 pts tonight. Almost 4 points but markstrom saved the puck with his bare hand

Ummm it's a bag skate... All of the players should be on their knees after it... If not they aint skating hard enough!! This just show's he's giving all of his effort which is the most important thing.

Expresso 03-15-2016 10:51 AM

^^ you're implying everybody else is not trying hard enough

murd0c 03-15-2016 11:06 AM

the way the Canucks have been playing that is correct ;)

Ronin 03-15-2016 11:28 AM

I bet it's hard for the team to be motivated to actually play hard right now. They know they're out of the playoffs and some of them won't be back with the team next season. How do you work up the mentality to try hard out there, risking injury that could disrupt their next contract? I bet most of them are tuning Willie out too.

Sbisa hurt his left wrist/arm yesterday. Got hit in the corner second period and you saw him skating around unable to put that hand on his stick rest of the shift and you can tell he was in a lot of pain. (I was sitting right behind the net so I watched it all go down)

Partially it's for pride and for the ones that think they will not be back next year, their incentive is to get a contract in the offseason.
Getting a $1M contract is better than a PTO just before training camp.
We forget how stressful it may be for them to go through the summer not knowing where they are going to be playing next year, or if they need to look towards Europe for a pay check.

Gaunce: more time spent on planes flying btwn Vancouver-Utica than with any team
