Who is there to replace WD after the season, is there any early consensus on any proven coaches that will be available? And no thanks to overpaying for Stamkos. Canucks have enough depth at center, specially if they get lucky and land Matthews. Unless There are some position transitions. |
I'd like to see Travis Green get promoted, honestly. WD's strategy would be great if we had depth, but we don't. And, if we were focused on the rebuild, it would be great to get every forward ~12 minutes of even strength TOI including all game situations for development of the youth, but we all know the kids except Bo get stapled to the bench in the 3rd if we have a lead. It's aggravating to watch, especially when we're trying to be competitive while rebuilding because we fail on both fronts. Also, if you can get an elite talent like Stamkos for no assets, you take it. That said, I'm highly skeptical that Stamkos would sign here, anyways. |
I love the Provies post game blog, but yesterday's was especially poignant. A good read, totally rips Aquilinis and some shade from Corrado The Provies: Canucks owners standing in way of Benning | The Province |
the question with Stamkos for me is he worth the 12mill a year? |

your Vancouver Canucksssss ladies and gents |
One day after a report that Alex Burrows would be willing to waive his no-trade clause if the Vancouver Canucks asked, the forward told reporters this was not the case. After making similar comments following Saturday's game against Toronto, Burrows confirmed Sunday he never said he was willing to waive his no-trade clause and expressed his desire to remain with the Canucks, according to Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province. The 34-year-old has one year remaining on his contract, and is expected to make $3 million next season. Through 53 games, Burrows has just seven goals, nine assists, and a minus-10 rating. |

That's the hockey gods punishing the Canucks for even mentioning that they will add pieces for a playoff push. |

maybe all of our NHLers will get hurt and we'll tank via injuries. |

Corrado what a whiny little bitch! Good riddance too him! Kid always seemed so cocky when he was here and thought he was better then he is! |

He will get it but I don't personally think so, he's nowhere near the player he was before he broke his leg... That said, TB is doing a horrible job with their deployment of him these days. |
