I remember reading something on Twitter from one of our local reporters after last game that the Sedins may have a discussion with Linden about their future with the team, which I inferred as them wishing to be traded.

Trade sedins to NYI for barzal and dol colle for max salary retain

highfive 03-21-2016 01:05 PM

wouldn't be mad at them for wanting out.

They deserve to win a cup before they retire.

Kuzma was reading a bit too deep into Daniel's rant about players' effort, connecting his dissatisfaction with players' effort levels and the performance of the kids.

Inferring that if this is how the Sedins feel now, they might not be suited to a true rebuild, where there'll be plenty of those types of games.

Also said how the Sedins would evaluate their own effort level in their first two years in the league, and is kind of unfair to the young plaers now. If they can't stomach what the kids are doing now, they may not be able to last through a true rebuild.

I think it was Freidman who was stirring up about the Sedins and Linden talking.

Kuzma was the one about effort level of the team.

I have a feeling he's referring to Virtanen. Probably the whole bieber shit.

PiuYi 03-21-2016 02:11 PM

Good. Hope this sends a message to the youngsters... nothing like the leader calling you out to get you straightened out

afterall, this is what we wanted from the start right? The Sedins/Burr/Hammer showing the next gen how to be pros?

add that with vrb/edler/sutter being shutdown for the season, this could be the best day all season for the Canucks :fullofwin:

Mike Oxbig 03-21-2016 02:50 PM

Sedins, hamhuis, Miller are the only vets and probably want out with burrows being a question mark at this point

punkwax 03-21-2016 02:53 PM

^Pretty obvious that Hamhuis doesn't want out... :derp:

Mike Oxbig 03-21-2016 02:57 PM

neither does burrows

punkwax 03-21-2016 04:10 PM

Difference is, one of them is in much better position to make a choice than the other :hotbaby:

Ch28 03-21-2016 04:44 PM

Sedins being traded would be good for the organization because we'd get a sweet haul in return. At this point, I think the organization owes it to them to give them the best chance to win a cup prior to retirement and I can't see that with the Canucks.

highfive 03-21-2016 05:48 PM

Unless we take back shit load of salary no way a team can take on $14 million and they are a contending team too.

Let's not totally lose perspective here. The Oilers have played 4 more games than us and only 1 less point.

If we lose our next game, we'll be tied for bottom 3.

the reporter clarified his statement afterwards and said he THINKS they should be talking to Linden.

Aquilini won't let the twins gets traded, he has to milk them when they becomes the first canucks to hit 1000 pts

UFO 03-21-2016 10:46 PM

Danks comments are all for show. You guys don't think way more gets said in the room, practices, meetings, etc etc? Basically, his media comments are blown out of proportion. Little comment like that all of a sudden ppl think that means they want out... C'mon.

Thats the fish bowl called Vancouver hockey fans and media.

Mike Oxbig 03-22-2016 07:17 AM

Just tank so all attention will be on Matthews.

Seems like the Oilers will be headed as worst team this season again lol

murd0c 03-22-2016 01:45 PM

Rodin just signed with the Canucks 1 year 1 way deal $950k...

Man all of these 1 way deals wtf is Benning doing..

Liquid_o2 03-22-2016 01:51 PM

Well from my understanding, a 1 way deal means that the player gets paid the same whether he is in the AHL or NHL, but can go down to the AHL still. Correct me if I'm wrong.

However with Rodin playing the past 3 years in the SEL, I'm sure Benning had to promise Rodin that he would get ice time with the Canucks and not go down to the AHL. Which begs the case of where are we going to fit all these young wingers when everyone is healthy to begin next season? Or is Benning just throwing a bunch of shit at the wall and seeing what sticks?

His job?

Why would the reigning SHL MVP take a deal that didn't guarantee him a spot on the NHL roster?
