If you like to try hands on with the 6p go to metrotown next the the santa there is a booth setup and you can try the phone.

Drow 12-20-2015 03:22 PM

dont get the 6p if you like to play hearthstone.

monkeywrench 12-20-2015 09:23 PM

Is anyone else's 6p have "stickers" for the nexus lettering on the back? I had a black one that was flat/etched into the body but my new white one feels "raised"

Drow 12-21-2015 08:25 PM

because it still lags. boggles my mind... "premium" google phone

it runs butter smooth on my friend's iphone 6, it's a world of difference...

maybe hearthstone was created with the iOS in mind, but still..

6P trumps op2. This article summarizes the differences.... in summary the OP2 is a pretty decent phone but not close to the 'flagship killer' they touted themselves to be. The OPX is a great budget phone though.

I got the N6P right when it came out and i absolutely love the phone. Great display, the camera is top notch (amazing in low light settings), the stock android experience is crisp, and the front facing speakers is really convenient for watching videos (I used to have to cup my hands around the rear speakers on my Note 2 to get it louder). I think it's the best phone for the price right now and if it means anything to you, the youtube reviewer MKBHD also agrees

FerrariEnzo 12-22-2015 11:39 PM

The hype of OP is dying... they are not just a regular joe..

When I got the OPO, I liked it... but after hearing the specs of the OP2... I was like meh... got the N6P and never looked back.. cheapest flagship device with great specs.. lots of reviews loves it...

Mr.HappySilp 12-23-2015 06:10 AM

The invite system turn a lot of ppl off. Also their poor customer service and quality control issue really hit One plus really hard.

There are no way to get support say if there is a hardware issue. Ppl have been waiting for over a month for a respone. Once you do get one they have to have access into your PC while you plug your phone into it. Once they determine it is an issue with the phone then you can RMA it. Is such a slow and painful process. Doesn't help the fact that when there is an known issue with the phone (IE yellow tinit on 1+1) many many ppl posted on the fourms yet 1+1 refuse to address the issue and deny of any defects and simply delete those post. Same with the touch screen issue.

With google returning a phone is super easy. I return mine 5x with no hassle at all and they even sent me the return label. That's call good customer service.

FerrariEnzo 12-23-2015 10:31 AM

^^ to be honest, google is a much larger company and can afford to do this...

OP, is only a fraction of what google is and they just want to save a buck here and there... they have to make sure defects are legit, which is totally fine...

But they advertise the OP2 exactly like OPO, its dated and tasteless... the OPO was every top reviewers site and it should, it was a great phone... but OP2... not one reviewer mention this device and for good reason...

SiRV 12-23-2015 11:16 AM

Just came back from Vegas, used the camera heavily at night and OMG, best pics go to my phone when compared to all my other friends (most notable comparisons - they were running iphone6+,& galaxy note 5)

monkeywrench 12-23-2015 07:17 PM

So far one random reboot on my second 6p after the 6.01 update. Did a cache partition wipe just now and hope it stops. Getting a little annoying now..

Mr.HappySilp 12-27-2015 12:04 AM

1+1 stop working -_- wouldn't read my sim card. Just keep saying network error. Tried it with my mom's sim card and my dad. Same thing. Factory reset the phone and same thing. Don't think is the sim card since it works fine on my other phone.

Order the 5x again -_- I guess I should never return it in the first place......

FerrariEnzo 12-27-2015 07:28 AM

Blacklisted?

Mr.HappySilp 12-27-2015 12:17 PM

^^ shouldn't because I bought it brand new........

Mikoyan 12-27-2015 12:28 PM

Does it pick up any carriers at all if you're able to do a manual network scan?

It keeps scanning for awhile then I just give up.

Mikoyan 12-27-2015 11:53 PM

Sounds like it's probably hardware fault. Radio/antenna if it can detect the SIM? Does it give you a no SIM error? Doubt it's the software/radio baseband, as it suddenly stopped working.

So the do not disturb feature lost the option to "silence until alarm" . Its strange that I had it two nights ago and now its gone. Checked the forums and seems like the majority of users have this issue as well. Anyone here on 6.0.1 still have this feature?

Known bug. After Dec 31, the feature will return automagically. Likely addressed in next Android update.

Don't think this booth exists anymore, anyone know where else I can try a live working demo?

Nexus owners report sync issues with Gmail, Inbox, other apps

Nexus owners report sync issues with Gmail, Inbox, other Google apps
Nexus smartphone owners are reporting a mysterious sync issue with a number of popular Google apps, including Gmail, Inbox, and Google Now. The issue appears to be affecting those who are running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow software.

“Gmail isn’t syncing quickly or notifying me of new emails,” writes one Nexus 6P owner on the Nexus Help Forum. “I’ll send a test email to myself and the 6P never notifies me of the email, even after many hours. Contrarily, my Nexus 9 and old OnePlus One sync notify me just fine.”

“I also am not receiving gmail notifications after the phone has been sitting idle for a while,” writes another. “For example, if I leave my Nexus 6 with Android 6 (with November 1 update) idle for 30 minutes, then send a test email to my gmail email, I won’t receive a notification.”

Another thread on the Android Issue Tracker forum has been starred by more than 500 people as I write this post, suggesting the issue is rather widespread among Nexus users. Unfortunately, it’s still not clear what is causing this problem at this point.

A number of workarounds that could fix the issue for some users include wiping the cache, resetting your Google account, and even flashing back to earlier builds of Marshmallow.

Google is aware of this problem, and a number of Googlers have already acknowledged and replied to the Issue Tracker thread, so we know the company is looking into it. There’s no word on a fix yet, however, so we’ll have to wait it out for now.
