Any 6P owners having issues with their battery?

Mine will shutdown even when there is 55% battery left.

kross9 02-04-2017 09:14 AM

got a 5x, and have noticed the battery drains considerably fast even with just music as of late

Above 50% and i could be taking photos or using an app and it would just shutdown. Pressing the power button would only bring it to the boot screen before shutting down again. I know i am not the only one with this issue.

My 6P battery performance took a nose dive over the past week as well. The phone is less than 6 months old.

That's just whatsapp :)

Isn't the problem tied to Nougat. Even if they did RMA the battery issue wouldn't it just happen again? Mine will usually die at the 20% mark.

I run WhatsApp on my Microsoft Lumia 950XL and it no longer drains the battery.

my nexus 6p's battery performance was shit the first day i got it. i had to charge multiple times throughout the day to keep my phone alive..

switched to ip7 just recently and the difference is night and day. Same usage but at the end of the day i still have about 50-60% left. Plus no stupid 'google play services' battery drain which is existent on every nexus phone i owned

Come to think of it, the 6P battery life was terrible for the first few weeks, then progressively got better, but as I mentioned before, it took a nose dive over the past week. I'm not doing anything crazy on it either.

My 6p would only shutdown if im streaming through bluetooth with 65% and below

i just carry battery pack with me and whenever it shutdown, plug it in and defibs my phone and good to go, no need to go full charge.... mine is not as problematic compared to the rest, never shutsdown on me during phone calls or apps.. just whenever im playing audio through bluetooth.. i got my 6p October 23rd 2015 so its one of first batches to be ship out

Tim Budong 02-06-2017 03:01 AM

I've noticed the drain on battery lately. Kinda sucks.

Gh0stRider 02-06-2017 09:55 AM

i cleared the cache partition, now the phone is shutting down at 20-30%.

somewhat of an improvement

monkeywrench 02-06-2017 07:34 PM

Mine battery life has plummeted since the Nougat update. I typically end the day with 5+ hours screen on time versus 3 hours SOT with Nougat. Android System is always higher than my screen on the battery spec page under settings.

Tim Budong 05-05-2017 01:58 AM

Expresso 05-05-2017 02:31 PM

Mine's still going but it still has the Battery dive issue, even though the newest update claims it was supposed to help.

Gh0stRider 05-05-2017 04:46 PM

Mine still works. Just drains battery.
Still waiting to replace it.

SiRV 05-05-2017 06:02 PM

My thing shuts off at 15% -- 95% of the time now...and 5% of the time, it shuts down at 5%

Gh0stRider 05-05-2017 09:32 PM
