Whats the market price these days for a ITR? Not sure if US Bring a Trailer prices apply locally. |
^ they certainly do on a car as rare as the ITR, more common ones there’s a bit of a Canadian discount but not these… there’s so few come up for sale locally I don’t think anyone can even answer the question |
^They seem to be cheaper in eastern Canada and pop up for sale more often than around here. |
In my recent search, the going market for BC OEM LHD Type R is $35K. There are some owners expecting BAT pricing of $60K... |
Anybody selling Spoon or Mugen ITR parts, please pm me. Also looking for JDM rims, any colour. |
Insured it and realized how much I missed driving it. https://i.ibb.co/8jYH0bn/IMG-20210619-160520-747.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Hph62gH/IMG-20210619-160520-760.jpg https://i.ibb.co/68pZ8W1/IMG-20210619-160520-806.jpg |
So there is such a thing as a freelunch. Huh. |
My gawd, it just looks so pleasing to the eyes... if I won the lottery, I’d definitely get a DC2 Type R. |
crazy how time has been so kind to these R's in 2010 - its almost impossible to sell a yellow ITR for $10k.... white, maybe 11-15k depending mods. now its 30k + and a bidding line |
|
any chance it was on 23 years old tires :troll: |

There is speculation that the seller can now buy it back from insurance, add a JDM front and keep driving it white a stack of cash. It’s more likely they just may a poor decision to take it out for a drive and had back luck. |
Had the money already changed hands? Until that money was in the bank account I’d be driving it too. Just winning the auction doesn’t necessarily mean the guy paid him yet. |
^^ us is kinda weird? Apparently the title is like a piece of paper which you can get later? From what I've seen on YouTube you can just go pay cash and drive off with the car. They don't seem to have the whole you have to go to ICBC to get insurance thing and get the car registered in your name? |
Yeah that’s correct, and weird as fuck. But I’m questioning whether the money changed hands. |

I'd let any of my good friends drive my car but I wouldn't let any of them fuck my wife. If someone messaged me and said, hey I'll give you 60k tomorrow for your e30, it's mine until they show up with the cash. That 51,014 on the odometer isn't going to change the car the person has told me they are buying at 51,007. Quite frankly if I were the buyer I'd expect him to go fill the tank for me as well. We aren't talking about the guy taking it to work for the next 4 weeks while he got the shipping organized. It's one drive. It was just bad luck. Either way, buyer keeps his money. It's not like he bought the car and had someones crashed ITR show up unannounced. |
Playing devils advocate a bit here, the guy may not have even been driving it around on the street for fun when it was hit. He could've been in a bind and needed to drive it, he could've been moving it somewhere else to store it, he could've been pulling it around to go put it on a trailer, hell it could've been parked a la BIC_BAWS. Either way, and especially considering how many people seem to bail on their BaT purchases, it's still his car until he gets the money for it and signs it over. So if that hasn't happened yet then he can do what he likes with it. For the buyer, if the cars gonna be damaged then right before you buy it is gonna be better than in transit or after delivery. |
Lol guys, winning a BAT auction isn't legally binding. Literally the only thing BAT provides is the phone number of the buyer to the seller. Buyer clearly didn't send money nor receive the title so seller can do/crash as he pleases. |
Got an FK8! Good point that the sale is not done by any stretch even though the auction has completed. No legal issue with the seller driving the car more. BAT takes their fee immediately off the credit card and it is up to the buyer and sell to complete the sale. This is where many deals fall apart. I would wager at least half of the cars showing "Sold" on BAT were not actually sold to the winning bidder. |

Email received! I picked up a 2017 Civic Type R yesterday. Championship white, 39kms some mild mods like Intake, exhaust, Hondata, 255/35/20 Michelin 4S on stock wheels. It’s a driver and I am happy to have it home! |
