Government IZEV rebate is done. Most applications submitted on Sunday were declined.

NO. WHY???? RSX EV SUV UGH

RabidRat 01-15-2025 07:38 AM

Huh. Did not see that one coming.

It's especially weird that the Integra and RSX nameplates are now going to coexist.

Badhobz 01-15-2025 07:51 AM

Nice Nissan Ariya rebadge

Traum 01-15-2025 08:59 AM

What de hell... God no... why does Honda think it'd be a good idea to dredge up another venerable (but long dead) nameplate, and bastardize it in the most inappropriate manner? The RSX was never a god-damned SUV... FailFish

No EV SUV is remotely close to being sporty, and the RSX won't be the exception.

EvoFire 01-15-2025 09:05 AM

That looks like the Mustang EV though.

Badhobz 01-15-2025 09:09 AM

Yup. Total car dystopia.

I can probably list the cars I like from each manufacturer in my hand

Honda : CTR
Toyota : gr86
Ford : …….
GM : c8 z06, ct4/5 black wing
BMW : ……
Mercedes: ……
Audi: ……
VW: ……

The list goes on. Pretty much all …… nothing remotely interesting nowadays in the new car segment

radeonboy 01-15-2025 09:17 AM

I like the angular styling though my standards are pretty low (not a non-descript blob or a used bar of soap like an EQE SUV).

I also don't think this is a rebadged Ariya either - Honda would've been designing this way before being coerced into merging with Nissan.

Yeah, like the Mitsubishi Eclipse!

It's based on Honda's own EV platform, also debuting ASIMO OS :heckno:

Badhobz 01-15-2025 09:57 AM

blame the stupid germans who made the SUV coupe ala X6 trend. ugliest shit I've ever seen.

Same with the Coupe profile sedan, wtf?! compromises headroom for all just cuz you want a slope?

Right -- I forgot about the Macan. And I like the way it drives and handles so much too LOL~

As far as EVs are concerned, I've heard from people that test drove the Macan EV, and they say Porsche has tamed the driving experience down. It is more comfy and compliant for the average driver, and one of my friends who is exactly that kind of person liked the Macan EV's driving experience better than his OG Macan S. But for people that like the Macan's sportiness, the Macan EV is not as engaging to drive nor handle as well as the ICE Macan.

JDMDreams 01-15-2025 10:09 AM

Well rsx was a single Gen it's not like they had much heritage, it's just a rebadged Integra. And then did the civic, csx shit. I've seen the new zdx like once and the want like $100k for that GM :heckno:

dark0821 01-15-2025 10:22 AM

Anyone still interested in a

Kona EV
Ioniq 5
Ioniq 6
Tucson Plug-in Hybrid

That is ready to take delivery before end of January.

We can still get you iZEV $5,000 rebate, or our dealer will step up the $5,000 if denied.

Let me know asap~

AstulzerRZD 01-15-2025 10:37 AM

Yeah most these EV SUVs kinda blow but I'd have fun ripping a backroad in Ioniq 5N and Mach-E GT

JDMDreams 01-15-2025 12:20 PM

Still waiting for that 0% financing. :accepted:

I wonder how much of this is because the competition (Model Y) drives like complete ass - terrible suspension!

noclue 01-15-2025 01:09 PM

I think for mainstream EV = Model Y is king, facelift one will fix a lot of complaints.
Luxury EV = BMW iX. MB EQS, Audi/Porsche EV seem like unreliable trainwrecks. Model X/S is too old and uncompetitive now. Rivian still has a lot of teething issues as a new manufacturer. Nobody cares for lucid and they be bankrupt long time ago if it wasnt for saudi money.
Hyundai EV's are great too for people that don't like the 100% touchscreens.

bcrdukes 01-15-2025 01:35 PM

@dark0821 - I don't mean to cramp your style, but my wife has a '24 Hyundai Sonata fleet vehicle and the rear view camera looks like someone cleaned it with sandpaper. It's practically unusable.

Is this a known issue or par for the course? :D

You forgot your favourite - Porsche. :ahwow:

Badhobz 01-15-2025 01:51 PM

^im not even going to comment on that genocide of a lineup.

dark0821 01-16-2025 11:58 AM

But you also forgot Hyundai!
