Now only 60k CAD for idbuzz, 65 for AWD.

Sienna is 54k for LE AWD or XLE FWD.
Cheapest non cloth seat + AWD is 58k for XSE AWD.

Mind you, that $21k discount applies only to cash purchases, not to finance or lease options (which get $6k off). So you either need to have $70k in cash ready or a pretty good trade in to make that cash purchase make sense. They are offering $6k for lease or finance with 0% for four years and 6 years, respectively.

I think it may help move some of the remaining 100+ vehicles in the Lower Mainland, but I doubt it will have a major impact, since most buyers will probably still choose an EV9, Sienna, or Odyssey.... I think on average I see one id buzz each week compared to an EV9 or sienna every 10 minutes...

I feel that most buyers in this market are looking for practicality rather than a lifestyle/nostalgia car, which is essentially VW’s key selling point. The < 300 km range is a huge a deal breaker.

AstulzerRZD 10-03-2025 10:58 AM

Outside financing should get you that discount, just no crazy 0.99% rate

twitchyzero 10-03-2025 11:11 AM

they all come with orange interior trim but the orange exterior is only on the AWD, yet bench seat is not on the AWD

2nd row was very comfortable but up front i dont like the capacitive buttons and it feels like a whole row of space just for the dash

for lifestyle nostalgic boomers they probably want all rear seats that can tuck into the floor for reno's/car camping and need the range for road trips

the new 60k price sorta make sense for some families if it's offered with in-house financing/lease..they sure look way more attractive as a lease return at 30k though lol

I can’t deny that it’s a tough proposition.
My boss considered one against Sienna but couldn’t fit his dog, strollers, and luggage along with the kids.

From my limited POV: I like the USB C ports pumping out 60W for laptops.
The range is tough in most spots by ok for California and the North East.

People were ok with tesla fast charging and model Y real world range for years.
ID Buzz basically delivers that.

- 33 minute 10-80% (same between both)
- ~220 mile range at 75mph, heat on

Where would the best outside finance rates be found? I called RBC and Scotia, both are stating about 6%+

It's pleather. I wish they offered the cloth option here. but the bonus of pleather is that it's maintenance free and I don't have to worry about all the spills and mud my kid bring into the car.

I'm in line for the id buzz... Just waiting for more discounts to come toward the end of the quarter to get a reasonable deal. I'm eyeing on the RWD because having a 7 seater is more practical than a 6. The car is a whale, so I think a good set of winters will be more than enough to keep the car planted on our urban roads...

The biggest gripe is the shitty software and UX interface compared to Tesla or Rivian.

twitchyzero 10-03-2025 12:22 PM

real leather for the smell (not really someone who cares for patina) but that fades with time

leatherette i find are often softer and more durable, i'd much rather have it over the real stuff and would be no brainer if it's perforated and ventilated

never been a fan of cloth, certainly not that neoprene on most polestars

Push to start whispers to you ‘Toyota launched a new…’
Your vitriol will give it enough charge to reach Poland.
