:Puke:

We get it bro, you're an audiophile. You appreciate wired headphones. You don't think Apple's products are quality. Move along now.

I'm VERY meticulous when I make purchases. Doing so allows me to change phones easily cause my loss margins remain low that way. I spent about an hour looking at the different ways to buy this device and drew out on paper like I always do. Comparing buy out prices vs Virgin mobile gold plans and corporate plans from Telus and figuring out how much I'm really paying at the end of 24 months. Got all setup to go and at 12:00:03, NOTHING. I share your disappointment.

This is my first time in a long time ordering a phone in Canada during launch. Every thing worked a lot smoother in the US. I don't think there were any midnight pre-order participating Canadian carriers.

Hondaracer 09-09-2016 01:18 AM

with iphone6 i stayed up last time and it was a similar launch, 2am i think

worked out that time, disapointing nothing but ipad and note7 show up for me..

parm104 09-09-2016 04:10 AM

Virgin Mobile FINALLY popped up with their pre-orders. I'm not sure what time they started at but I managed to get my order in. $749.27 taxes and fees in for a iPhone 7 Plus (32GB).

Got lucky and managed to bring my phone plan down in price by $5 (my existing plan wasn't eligible for a hardware upgrade).

I'm happy cause I'm not paying more money than I expected to be paying and I got a decent subsidy on the phone. All-in-all I am currently at:
$60/month
Unlimited Canada Minutes
Unlimited CAN/US Texting
2 GB Data

Will keep this thread updated as I receive a shipping confirmation in the days to come.

Hondaracer 09-09-2016 05:23 AM

yea.. same with rogers, what time did it pop for you? i see your post was 5:10?

woke up at 6 today after 3 hours fucking sleep to see "pre order" now lit up on the rogers site.

Reserved the 6 plus 128GB

i'm 313 in line... seems alright, you'd think 313 would move along relatively quickly

Wow, I thought for sure you had waited till 3. I checked at 3am and Rogers was good to go at that time. I didn't realize you hadn't known at that time, sorry bro, would've messaged you.

I checked between 3:00am to 3:30am at Virgin Mobile's site and nothing was showing up. I was done ordering at 5:00am so I must've been on that side since 4:30am trying to figure out what options to go with. I haven't been given a place in line or a que number, only an order confirmation and plan changes confirmation.

Hondaracer 09-09-2016 08:34 AM

God, I knew that was gonna happen..

Iphones lasts years, samsung phones start to lag after a year.

Iphone hearthstone -> samsung hearthstone

Im waiting for iphone 8 .

Hondaracer 09-09-2016 04:36 PM

Samsung phones are like the Canadian football league, people gotta go outa their way to tell you how good it is, it can't just stand alone on its own accord lol.

Feeling pretty good about my Rogers reso even though I got in late. with the iPhone 6 my 64GB space grey I was 860th in line and got my phone day after release

Sitting 308th with the 7 plus in black. Guess it depends what the demand is for that paticular model but seems like the gloss black is the one to get this time around

MG1 09-09-2016 08:00 PM

NVM.............. I'm an Apple fanboy, but the 7 is a bit of a disappointment. Wait for 8, I guess.

god bless

FerrariEnzo 09-09-2016 11:38 PM

When will apple start innovating their "best iphone, yet" all the features they are putting on are already on android...

Nabatron 09-10-2016 10:57 PM

Iphone 8 maybe? but not really holding my breath on that one....will it actually but whole lot different compared to the 7? I can't really see it happening...just the usual updates each year.

Energy 09-11-2016 11:10 AM

If I wanted to line up in Richmond Centre on launch day what time should I be there?

Mikoyan 09-11-2016 12:05 PM

If you're not able to get gloss black out of the first batch, you may have to wait 3-4 weeks. Carriers are being told supply is limited.

Hondaracer 09-11-2016 01:05 PM

Gloss obviously the model to have this time around

Didn't really appeal to me, I think the standard black is much nicer, hopefully better supply for those.

I wanted Jet Black but I've been reading and common sense tells me that it will be prone to hairline scratches that will be very visible in all forms of light.

I don't want to pay extra to get a particular colour combination only to hide it with a case :S

On that note, if there are any Virgin Mobile members in here that pre-ordered the iPhone 7, please let me know what your experiences/processes have been so far.

So far:

Virgin online pre-order started at 4:30am. I ordered @ 5:00am. Order confirmation was given to me right away and my account app shows upgrade in progress. I have yet to receive word on what position in line I am or when my ETA is.

Armind 09-12-2016 11:11 AM

Now I gotta wait another 2 years to see if it's worthy of upgrading. :okay:

It's looking like next year, being the 10th anniversary, is going to be a major redesign and not an S model.

Who knows though.

Armind 09-12-2016 01:11 PM

:suspicious:

MarkyMark 09-12-2016 01:21 PM

Don't quote me that's just what a lot of the websites and rumors are saying. It makes sense though, this year the design barely changed even though it should have, and what better time than the 10th anniversary to do something big.

Armind 09-12-2016 01:32 PM

I sure hope so, my iP6+ feels sluggish =\

..and I don't feel like carrying a bomb in my pocket (Note 7)

Hondaracer 09-12-2016 01:34 PM

Since the 3 I've been on two year contracts, imo it's by far the best cycle you can be on in terms of renewals because every re-up I'm getting the new design for the discounted price.

Never once had an S model or the transitional model of the phone, get the 3/4/5/6/7 on release day, pay less than half the full price, and then sell the previous model (which I usually keep in very good condition) for half or more of the upgrade cost.

Has worked out amazing ever since I switched over to iPhone. I'm not the type of person to flash my new phone around but I definitely like having the new model at release. It's not really a big deal to get the 6S a year and a half after release of the 6, the look is old already
