It does have fast charge. Well not Qualcomm 3.0, but it can run it. The USB-C technology in the Pixel are under the power delivery standard, which in essence can send up to 100W. In my experience the pixel charges pretty quick.

Doesn't seem as quick as my note 4.

I think the initial charge up to ~ 80% is fast, then after that it slows down pretty dramatically.

For reference Nathan K (independent) and Benson (of Google) have created resources for safe and fast charging:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...zbA/edit#gid=0

Benson Leung -

The Best USB-C Chargers: What's Safe and What's Dangerous?

I'm not the first person to nerd out, but unfortunately I had to when my Pixel didn't ship with a charger. All in all, I'm glad I did. Turns out my father isn't a crazy nut, and he was right about this stuff LOL.

Agreed. I have both in my household, 1+ definitely wins.

What's interesting is that on the pixel when changing with the 1+ charger, it shows as charging rapid, but its anything but rapid.

yeah its my first oneplus device and am very impressed with it over all. I think wireless charging is kind of useless since you cant use it when its on the charging pad. Atleast with dash charge you use the phone and its fast charging up...

Wireless charging is useless unless you plan to charge overnight or if you have something like Samsung’s fast wireless charging.

aren't the majority of the charging happening overnight?
it's a small step towards wifi charging when battery size no longer matters much

The new pixels looks great. The addition of OIS with googles EIS should make for some terrific photos. The price is about par for the course in the case of flagship smartphones.

same price as last year

your days of buying a Google phone for $299 (even if it was a piece of crap) is long gone

will hold my judgement on the squeeze function until I try it...seems pointless because finger unlock is almost instantaneous

last year's dig at Apple...then removes it on their devices a mere 12 months later

and wheretf is wireless charging?

No wireless charging, and it's only water resistant. If you want to charge Apple prices at least come out with all the features other premium brands are offering.

Wow. What a disappointment. Hopefully they design something better next year after purchasing part of HTC mobile.

Only water resistant? It's IP 67 rated though.
