They come around and check all the time. I've been busted too many times and told not to fill it. One look at a jerry can and you can tell if it's a 20 litre or a 25 litre. This is the law in Bellingham. The only place that makes a big deal about it is Costco. They must have been told to keep an eye on Canadians. Never happens anywhere else. Costco has signs up stating the limit.

You can go down yourself and give it a go. Rules are rules and if they are making an effort to enforce the law, then I'm not going out of my way to try and get away with filling up a 25 litre jerry can.

I get top tier 92. My truck runs best with higher octane when towing a trailer. Anyway.............

twitchyzero 11-03-2017 11:40 PM

basically everyone's top tier unless it's a smaller/indie gas bar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Ti...rgent_Gasoline
what are the chances costco canada will zone part of their lot for gas pumps...bet it'll be a nice upset even with the taxes

Husky is not rated top tier. Also, a number of Costcos already sell gas.

I don't know how you guys have time to do all of this.

MG1 11-04-2017 06:45 AM

^sleep is way overrated

westopher 11-04-2017 08:39 AM

I paid 1.61 for premium last weekend in NV.
My fucking $50 gift card only filled up the touring a bit over half way. I don't often get butthurt over gas prices since I drive so little but holy shit, that stung.

murd0c 11-04-2017 08:45 AM

paid 1.20.9l for premium in Mission last night. Man its great living out here sometimes

blkgsr 11-04-2017 10:52 AM

fucking 147.9 today....and i saw 139.9 last night

UnknownJinX 11-04-2017 11:31 AM

Well, no more "Zoom Zoom" for me for a while.

Badhobz 11-04-2017 06:02 PM

i just gassed up the maz. 1.68 a friggin liter of shell 91... she needed 65litres out of a laughable 85L tank. so it came to 109 dollars. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK.... she gets 17.5L to 100kms in the city too hahahah:badpokerface:

Nah it aint worth it for me considering the drive from Richmond to lame Blaine is an hour there and an hour back and probably a few bucks of gas. We got Nexus but its still not worth it. Plus we don't do enough online shopping to go down every month. More like once every 3-4 months at best. Biggest issue for me is carrying that much explosive gas that stinks up the entire cabin/trunk.

Too much work for not much reward.

Acura604 11-05-2017 08:44 AM

I live 15mins from the pac Hwy crossing.....and the drive there in the RDX is great.

Well, my RX-8 gets similar gas mileage and needs premium as well.

My tank is 65L and I usually get 45~55 Lwhen I fill up. Gas price is at 155.9 for premium on the island.

twitchyzero 11-05-2017 10:30 AM

it's around a 55 minute drive for me from Vancouver to Bellingham
are you going late morning on a long weekend? otherwise 1 hour from Richmond to Blaine with Nexus sounds like you're playing it super safe...or getting cavity searched each time :ahwow:

320icar 11-05-2017 11:22 AM

Yeah this gas is fucked up. I wanna go cruise to cypress and stuff, but I just can’t justify an $80 tank of gas just for some photos. Thankfully I walk to work so I only have to fill up not even twice a month normally. But still... the fuck.

It’s cheaper to fill up regular and go buy octane booster than it is to just get premium. And by a pretty big margin

cdizzle_996 11-05-2017 02:01 PM

Went to Sumas this morning to fill the G37. 16 gallons (60litres) at 3.08USD cost me $64cdn or $1.07/litre. Almost $30cdn savings a tank considering premium was 1.52 in Abby this morning.

yray 11-05-2017 02:04 PM

1.52 for premium in abby :fulloffuck:

G0rilla 11-05-2017 02:07 PM

Im pretty sure e85 is cheaper than 94 atm

Nabatron 11-05-2017 03:14 PM

I remember the days of filling up my rx8 every week lol...

Filled up @ PR Shell today. 92 octane V-Power Nitro+ @ Cdn$1.266/L. The local Shell station a few blocks away from me is selling regular gas @ Cdn$1.459/L

FailFish

IMO, the price discrepancy between US and Canadian gas retailers we are seeing right now is the biggest that I remember. What the heck is going on...?

Nothing is going on to warrant these high prices. They're just high because of where we live and we just have to deal with it or get gas from the US. Before gas was going up during the summer time, now it's just going up whenever. Don't be surprised if this is the norm going forward.

ilovebacon 11-05-2017 05:21 PM

imagine what the prices will become for next summer..

320icar 11-05-2017 05:32 PM

So what’s the rules for bringing jerry cans down to point Roberts? I’ve never done it before but if this continues I’ll have to start. Someone said last page a max of 20L cans? Limit on number of cans themselves?

Kilinim 11-05-2017 06:28 PM

$2.59 USD/gallon at Bellingham Costco today :)
