I don’t think its fair to compare the ITR to the CTR given its age gap difference. The ITR was and still is one of the best cars I’ve driven but after you reach a certain age, you want more out of a car than just that raw racecar feeling. I think thats where the CTR comes in perfectly. I can switch it to R mode when I want to push it around some turns more aggressively and leave it in comfort mode to run all my errands. Sure you can easily do all the same things in a ITR that you can in a CTR but the ITR just feels like it wants you to drive it on a track instead taking it to costco or superstore. If I had the space and money, I’d absolutely love to have both but if I had to choose just one at this point in my life it would be the CTR.

Gotcha. I've got an FRS now which is sorta similar to an S2K I guess and I've also been eyeing a CTR. If I could afford it, I would have both an FRS and CTR but don't think that's happening haha

Hello all, I am new to Vancouver, Canada and Revscene. I moved here 4 months ago from Ireland. I left behind my personally imported and built 400hp R33 GTR

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4522/3...5338c08f_b.jpg

and my super clean DC5 Type R

I have both of them in storage so not 100% sure what I will do with them and also trying to figure out what I want to buy over here and start meeting people in the car scene. :)

July Update: I sold the ITR about a month ago and picked up this FRS. I am loving the car and enjoying the Vancouver car scene so far. Looking forward to getting to know more people.

Also looking for the best place to buy and have decent tyres fitted by people who are used to low cars with bodykits, big wheels and low profile tyres without scratching anything.

The Speed Syndicate for tire mounting. They use a touchless machine and they sponsor these forums.

^You should lower it on links asap. Also get one of those Revozport RZentric scale models haha

prelude_prince 07-10-2018 11:37 PM

^^ haha you must be around here if you already know about that scale model! Put my name on list already =]

I bought the links but am still thinking whether to lower it. It's a pretty bumpy ride already on the 22" wheels

since you have a unique ownership history of R to S to R
wouldn't you say the ITR and S2000 can be driven like any other torque-less Civic of yesteryear if you're shifting early? shouldn't matter much if you're barely crawling for Costco runs. I guess finally having torque in low end is a welcomed change?

Oh right I remember you had your NSX painted at Pagani. I met Tony a few times in hk lol. Don't know his brother though.

I rode in my friend's X with the links compared to my mom's X without the links and it's not too harsh. The shocks are valved pretty well to slam it.

I drove my S2000 on Monday after not driving it for about 2 weeks. I almost got rear ended merging onto the highway thinking that I had enough power in 6th gear to accelerate. The FK8 would do it without a sweat. S2000 you really got to rev the piss out of it. The FK8 just has that much low end I guess, changed my standards. I don't even remember how my K20A DC5 felt like anymore.

The ITR and S2000 can definitely be used like any other car on the street, theres no question about it. I just felt like the ITR could only really shine on the track. On the street the stiffer ride and lack of sound deadening just really got to me. My perspective might be different had I left that car stock.

Do you miss your R33? Is your FRS stock engine wise? I daily a FRS too and lately I been feeling the itch for some Force Induction. But I'm not sure I'm ready to make both my cars loud, uncomfortable and prone to problems....

Does the FRS feel slow to you after owning a R33?

320icar 07-11-2018 10:01 AM

Doesn’t the frs feel slow no matter what? :troll:

Looks like Grigio Telesto Grey but, officially, it's actually Grey Black.
