Fuck me for forgetting to ask for double toasted so it even resembles something warm | reminds me of a time where my friend had an experience at some coffee shop in Toronto.
Friend was trying order coffee and was standing in line. Some old business man with a suit and all in his 50's had a bagel order messed up because the girl who was working fucked up. The girl was like a 17 year old. The guy starts screaming "THIS IS WHY YOU ARE THERE AND I AM HERE!!" to the poor girl... and she starts crying her face off. My friend said that is one of the major things he regrets not standing up for. He really wanted to say "SHUT THE FUCK UP! Let me buy that bagel"
hearing this story, it reminds us that we are all human and the poor girl was just going through high school or university which is quite depressing.
Asking for perfect quality at tim hortons is like asking for the best service at mcdonalds. Both are the same crap level imo. You get what you paid for.

I worked over a decade in retail (Canadian Tire, Staples), my fiance worked over a decade in the food industry (Wal-Mart Deli, Subway, Denny's) and, while we wouldn't like being yelled at for the occasional fuck up, we didn't have a lazy "customers shouldn't expect good service here" attitude, either.

You’re reasoning is exactly why automation will take away all these jobs. People can’t even do meanial jobs properly.

Anyway.................. carry on carrying on. | No kidding. What an entitled sack of shit. It's clear that guy didn't have to work his way up in life, as I am sure the majority of us had crap-tier jobs like that at one point.
Having worked in the food service industry all through high school and through most of university, I've developed a trait for having zero respect towards people who talk down to service workers. Especially considering my parents who were immigrants started out (and retired) doing those types of jobs.
"You are there and I am here" you're clearly not THAT successful if you're at Tim Hortons instead of Starbucks |

franchise opportunity? in India... https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/tim...ndia-1.4841323
Tim Hortons will seek to shut down an apparent knock-off restaurant in India that uses a name and branding very similar to the coffee-and-doughnut chain.
Tim Hottens, located in Yamunanagar, India, is two letters away from the coffee chain in its name.
Its logo and branding appear to mimic the Canadian chain's as well. The font and colour of the name in its logo is nearly identical. Tim Hottens also uses the phrases "always fresh" and "cafe & bake shop," as well as the red-hued striped background in its logo.
Tim Hottens did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
"While we believe that imitation is often the sincerest form of flattery, we do have very high standards when it comes to our brand, the quality of our products and the service we provide our guests," said Jane Almeida, a spokeswoman for Restaurant Brands International (RBI), the parent company of Tim Hortons, in an email.
"Therefore, we will be taking steps to protect our brand and trademarks, including closing down this imitation restaurant." |

its time for a Canadian to start a whole new Coffee chain and say No to the 1 billion offer if they want to get bought out like Tim Hortons...
You Just need a catchy Name and stop using Shitty Coffee roasts with piss poor artificial sweetened donuts.

I never used to like Starbucks but since getting more into coffee and buying my own espresso machine at home, I will say that at least Starbucks actually tastes like..coffee?
Everything else Tim’s, McDonald’s, etc takes like some sort of artificial mixture that is made to taste like coffee

waves sucks at everything, but i don't mind blenz that much... mainly their hot chocolate which is made with actual melted chocolate. don't really care too much for either of them but they are there, and both started in vancouver.

small independant bake/coffee shops are the way to go.
An easy way to see if youre gonna get a decent cup of coffee from a place you havent been before is when you search up the name/reviews, are there pictures of Latte art.
if they can do Latte art, odds are they can make a decent cup

For local chains I prefer JJ Bean. Their grab n go food is really good too. Unfortunately they are only in urban locations, so I can't grab one when I am out in the 'burbs.

I guess I`ll chime in here since I have a timmies near my work that I don't go to anymore.
I would get their soup that would come with the bread and every fucking time they throw the little butter container on top of my fucking hot soup and by the time I bring it back to work it`s melted and just drips out and makes an unnecessary mess.
