States deserved to win imo.
Canada was outplayed the whole third and most of OT, slow tired hockey. Backcheckinf was brutal and the last half of OT no one was even moving their feet.

Not even upset, better team won tonight. Canada looked old and slow in OT, must get younger and faster. Stop putting those 3 or 4 time Olympians back on the team just because they won in the past. Full rebuild, come back and win it in Beijing.

Sucks to see the women's team lose.. but clearly they were out gunned in the 3rd and OT.
The better team won.
Also disappointing finishes to Canada in short track. Yea three medals but the performances I thought could be better.
That chinese skater in the 500m is quick! WR time. Sam Girouard had a small slip up and ended in 4th

Not taking away anything from the states. They played a better faster pace game than Canada but for a shoot out to decide who wins is pointless. IOC should look into something if not 5 on 5 make it 4 on 4 or 3 on 3 still better than a shootout.

Canadian woman couldn’t even manage a one timer ffs..
I obviously don’t watch women’s hockey all that often but it felt like the quality of game has fallen off even since Sochi

I saw a lack of teamwork contributing to that terrible OT by Canada. Lots of end to end skating, shooting from the outside and back the other way. The US's conditioning (or longer bench) was apparent in OT which led to more chances.

USA was in control for majority of the game 1st 3rd and Overtime. #17 on the U.S. was either really fast or Canada was slow/gassed at the end regulation and OT.

Canada now tied for most medals ever in winter olympic history, and second most gold behind vancouver 2010. So much success in so many different disciplines!
