What the fuck is this? Is north korea really rubbing off on south korea that quickly?
If I was korean, I would be ashamed of the behavior displayed there. Obviously it's probably a tiny fraction of a minority who feels comments like that are even remotely acceptable.
without seeing the race it looks totally inappropriate. after seeing the race and seeing how the korean skater very slightly impeded the canadian, it makes a little more sense. the korean barely interfered with the canadian, and they both kept skating and the canadian came well behind in 4th place, and the korean who finished 3rd was DQed well after the race ended because absolutely no contact is allowed. still totally inexcusable to send death threats tho.
The brief analysis I saw of the incident said medals and standings had been altered for “far less” so at least there is some consistancy at the highest levels

It's pretty shameful on South Korea's part to be sending death threats. The Canadian racer had no control over the judges decision too. Even still, the judges DQ'd a Canadian racer earlier for the same reason, so I don't see how it's unfair. That South Korean ire is uncalled for, not surprised it happened though, given their culture.
It's like how we have RS beatdown crew here. Over there, they have SK lynch mob.

The Olympics is about making money. Whatever it takes to reel in the younger audience is the order of the day.
I think these types of events increase viewership and interest in the games.
Just my opinion. Also, I'm not even watching any of this. I listen to news radio in the morning and get my news here. That's about as exciting it gets for me.
All I know is we're up to 13 medals.

Snowboarding takes sooooo much more talent than the vast majority of the sports out there. The skill needed for half pipe is insane and the athletic ability you need to compete at that level is probably higher than a lot of the “traditional sports
