Man ,the left is so despicable getting kids to talk about issues they have no idea about in order to get sympathy.

It's all about appealing to emotion instead of talking about facts.

That has to be the stupidest idea I've ever heard of.

As an RPAL holder, I'll also take my chances with these two mean, lean, killing machines.

I didn't know the victims. I don't know the shooter. And frankly, I couldn't care less about what's happening in America right now.

What I find hilarious is that no one can see the parallels between "dangerous" dogs, and "dangerous" firearms. I was trolling in an effort to get people thinking, rather than reacting emotionally to something that doesn't affect them. A funny thing happened during this thread, people actually started to think of mental health and a lack of respect for life being the number one culprit.

Yodamaster's reply said it perfectly.

Our laws prevent very little, the fact that we don't have these school shootings in Canada is due to a variety of factors that don't involve firearms at all. This is crucial in understanding that the US has an enormous problem that begins with their youth and transitions into adulthood. Whether it stems from the environment, family, drugs, mental disorders, or all of the above, it is obviously in stark contrast to Canadian society.

Well said.

Whew, a brand new poster to the site, and you're already in a thread throwing shade at the "left".

Are you welfare's 8th account? Maybe zyzzjr? Why do conservative posters feel the need to resort to creating multiple fake accounts to push a narrative? So bizarre. Ah and yes, Ben Shapiro! The smart guy for the intellectual idiot, would never have guessed his opinion on this subject! Laughable.

birddog3k 02-23-2018 03:53 PM

Why do liberal posters feel the need to use ad hominem attacks to push a narrative?

Do you have any input about the topic or are ad hominem attacks the extent of your intellect?

Wow, that’s actually an excellent term for him.

I had a hunch welfare was one of his followers, based on the way he posts as if he actually knows ‘evidence’. Unfortunately, he comes off more of a Milo or Alex J though lol.

My favorite part was when the sheriff stuttered his way to a crowd of coerced children's booing for the woman who exposed what was, let's be honest, likely the greatest contributing factor to this incident. An utter neglect from law enforcement.
What was your favorite part?

I know there were a lot of questions about that one. And it seems to have been hushed since then.

Not hushed... this is normal in the world of news.

Something happens, media focuses on event for financial gain, the world goes on social media and post crap like "Pray for xxxxxx" or "xxxxx Strong" as if that makes any fucking difference at all in the world.

Time goes one, people forget, then go back to their daily lives until the next tragic event happens.

I wonder if, all the while grandstanding at the Town Hall, sheriff Israel knew that four officers from his department waited outside the school while children were being killed.

Four Deputies Sat Outside Stoneman Douglas | The Daily Caller

Quote:

Sheriff Scott Israel revealed on Thursday that the school resource officer on duty, Deputy Scot Peterson, “never went in” the school even though it was “clear” there was a shooting going on, but CNN’s new reporting reveals there were three other deputies who reported to the scene shortly thereafter also failed to enter the school and attempt to engage Cruz.

The report states that when Coral Springs police officers arrived on the scene, the four deputies were crouched behind their vehicles with their guns drawn and had not yet entered the school.
I wonder if the attack on guns and the NRA will proceed as scheduled...

I also wonder if the "good guys with guns" argument will also continue to perpetuate as well.

Uh... What? You did not hear about the armed security officer that was outside the school and refused to enter while the shooting was occurring? You did not hear your hero lambasting the officer for not "doing his job"? You had a good guy with a gun on site, it didn't change a damn thing. Anyways, it's been fun welfare, this horse has been beaten to death, see you next shooting.

A guy with a gun who listens to every gunshot, knowing each represents a possible execution of a child, and does nothing, is not a good guy with a gun.
That's a useless guy with a gun.

Your argument is minimized to the gun being the figurehead, like usual.
It's not the gun. It's the person behind it.
