From a marketing POV, Nike hit this one out of the park. One marketing firm is estimating that Nike has generated $163M's worth of media exposure from this incident so far. I forgot / can't find how much Nike paid Kaepernick for the sponsorship, but I'm pretty damn sure they didn't pay him anywhere remotely close to $163M.

Not difficult to see why Nike sales went up.

Nike doesn't care about white people. It's the blacks and latino's that make the brand. Trump endorsing the brand would have really hurt them.

It's actually great for everyone. Everyone from the workers there to investors big and small. Great for the millions of people who have retirement funds that hold Nike as well. Profits are divied up to all shareholders in a quarterly dividend.

Curious about the shoe burning Youtubers though, if they want to Make America Great Again... why would they want a great American company to crash and burn? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I haven't watched the video on that cartoon so I'm not sure what it is saying... but when I saw that whole thing pop up on my newsfeed yesterday I didn't really understand what the big deal was... I mean maybe the other tennis player should be depicted as the Japanese one and the umpire could be more accurate to the one that actually did the game............. but what is racist about Serena Williams depiction? That's what she freaking looks like hahaha! You could ask a hundred caricature artists to do a drawing of her while she sits in front of them and they're all gonna come out exactly like that!

I already said above that's the only weird thing about it in my mind... altho if he hadn't, imagine the flack he'd be taking over his version of a Japanese/Black cross depiction... can't win lol

The Japanese player is actually really tanned with blonde hair. The cartoon is pretty accurate. The judge is drawn white... the typical rouge skin tone.
