At first I thought it was all hyperbole, and Trump joking around. NATO sending troops isn't cheap, so the fact that they're doing this gives credence that this threat is being treated as legitimate and real.

They don't seed to sent a ton. Attacking any NATO troops crosses the line. attacking even 1 British soldier means the US is declaring war.

Privately / within the NATO-minus-US countries, I'm sure everyone is viewing the Trump-led US as a legitimate national security threat. But on the outside, EU troops deployment to Greenland is the perfectly logical rebuttal to Trump's claim that the US needs Greenland bcos of national security reasons. By showing that the EU is comitted to securing Greenland against foreign threats, in a logical world, that would have been reason enough for the Trump-led US to back off on its annexation claims.

Of course, in a normal logical world, if the US is legitimately concerned about Greenland being taken over by Russia or China, then it should have been the first country to deploy more troops to its US bases on Greenland.

As a Canadian, I feel so bad for Greenland and its residents. What they are going through right now is literally the 51st state BS, version 2 all over again, and the risks of things breaking out of control is even higher than our 51st state annexation claims.

So help me to understand .. Trump and the US wants to conduct military strikes in Iran because they are oppressive against the protesters. And in the US, Trump wants to send in the army to Minnesota and declare a state of insurrection (martial law) and quash the peaceful protests against ICE?

Conservatives want more goverment control and the goverment to restrict what Canadians can buy. What a world we live in.

I know the US military is large, but it seems like they're going to end up spread pretty thin if all of these things actually kick off at the same time.

1. US invades Greenland, NATO collapses. No one will declare war on US.
2. US allies with Russia, splits Ukraine and pillages resources under guise of peace.
3. Russia conscripts Ukrainians and moves military troops to their West. EU forces have to strengthen their Eastern front, even if Russia doesn't invade. Europe cannot risk getting into war with Russia while potentially getting backstabbed by the US.
4. US and Isreal attack Iran under guise of regime change and pillages resources.
5. Angered by Carney's deal to allow Chinese EVs into Canada, US rolls over the border and makes Canada it's 51st state. EU is too tied up in Europe to come to Canada's aid.
6. With the majority of the World's oil reserves under US/Russia + friends' control, an EU-China alliance is created to combat Axis of Evil 2.0

If boots on the ground are needed, DJT calls up his buddy KJU to use North Korean troops. The US also kidnaps Venezuelans, Canadians, and Iranians to send to front lines. ICE will be given bonus commissions for every non-white person they kidnap to send to front lines.
