U.S. President Donald Trump was seen sneakily pocketing a FIFA Club World Cup winners medal onstage moments before he handed Chelsea a replica trophy.
The president was given the medal to look at by Gianni Infantino while handing others out to the winning squad at New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium Sunday. Though videos showed Trump later tucked the medal into his suit blazer when the FIFA CEO seemingly reached for it back.

It comes after Trump himself revealed that the winner’s trophy that he had handed to Chelsea captain Rhys James had actually been a replica, and that FIFA officials had given him the real silverware.
-typical behaviour from a bully. Taking stuff from pro athletes who earned that medal and trophy through their hard work and performance on a soccer pitch.
Maybe not bully behaviour, more like shameless. It also seems like FIFA is sucking up to Trump, which is also spineless.

It is the FIFA Club World Cup (between profesional football clubs around the world), not the real FIFA World Cup (between nations). IMO this particular so-called "World Cup" is yet another example of FIFA's greed in attempt to milk the beautiful game for all it is worth, but the tournament largely fell flat on its face. Attendance has been poor. Fans around the world weren't really all that interested in it. The clubs and players themselves were really all that interested in the tourney either bcos it is at the end of their normal football season, and doesn't really carry much international prestige.
Normally, a failure at this magnitude should have caused FIFA to lose gob tons of money. But with the perks and freebies that FIFA always manage to bully the local / national governments into giving, I'm sure their losses are significantly less than what it should have been.

He was seen holding and kissing the trophy, which is typically restricted to winners and FIFA officials. FIFA is investigating how he gained access to the pitch and players.
The dude wanted more publicity for his Wagyu bone-in ribeye steaks served with gold leaf in his restaurants. What better way for the chef to get more publicity than to kiss the World Cup trophy with team Argentina.
So it looks like Trump’s now calling the Epstein files a “hoax” cooked up by Obama, Comey, and the Democrats and claims MAGA supporters were duped.
Meanwhile, the DOJ just fired Maurene Comey (James Comey’s daughter), who led parts of the Epstein and Maxwell cases. No official reason was given, but the timing feels sketchy, and Trump will likely try to link her to his new BS narrative about the files being a hoax.
