If that's the case it certainly backfired, because there wouldn't have been this much pressure to release the files if it wasn't so clear that Trump was involved.

I think Trump thought he had everything under control because he placed his people at the DOJ and FBI, and assumed everyone in the GOP would go along with the claim that the files were a hoax. It’s also not a coincidence that Dan Bongino jumped ship. I’m sure he saw the files unredacted and said, fuck it, I’m out of here.
I know that conservatives, so called "Christians", Trump supporters could care less about him being a pedo. I'm also not surprised that these billionaires enjoy partaking in risqué sexual acts, it follows basic human character. This is what happens when you essentially have it all, these guys can have any woman they want, what results is progressing degrees of sexual depravity, more risk, to them, more excitement. It's akin to chasing the dragon, but in a sexual sense.
This is all obvious, and expected human nature.
What I enjoy more pointing out is the simple hypocrisy of it all. If you recall back in 2023, the big "thing" on the right was sex trafficking or minors, one of the biggest movies that year was The Sound of Freedom, where the right was pushing the film and its ideas vehemently as a means to connect the sex trafficking of minors to Hollywood, aka the "left".
Since all this Trump stuff has amped up, I haven't heard these guys cry about this subject whatsoever since then. It just shows you how much the right's outrage is completely manufactured, and that none of this stuff actually matters.

Yeah, as gruesome as the details are now on Trump in the Epstein files I don't really think there's much that will get him impeached. He's a known pedophile rapist and now an accused murderer along with convicted felon (along with who knows what else) - what more do you need to jump ship? If you're not jumping now you're gonna go down with him and move to Argentina if the clean up crew shows up.

The statement did not specify how the FBI and the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York came across the additional material. Epstein had been facing charges of sex trafficking minors in the state when he died awaiting trial in a New York prison.

Personally, I see it as his distractionary measure to divert the US public's attention away from his policies and their ill-effects more than anything else. Of course, he had always wanted to do it, and Rubio is more than happy to see it happen as well.
I wonder what sort of effect it'll have on the mid term elections.
