The whole bet was based on welfare saying the dems don't have a leg to stand on and will cave. trumps is the one who caved and got zero dollars for the wall so I won.

trump is a terrible negotiator. You always go into a negotiation with multiple outs. trump had only one out so the dems had him by the balls. No wonder he has had so many companies go bankrupt.

so sick of all this winning

mikemhg 01-25-2019 03:04 PM

Congrats on the win Manic. Figured it would end this way, for now at least. Big waste of frigging time, as usual.

Ludepower 01-25-2019 07:33 PM

On behalf of the 500 users left on revscene.. Ty manic for winning this bet. Hope this trump troll doesnt come back after his ban.

Bouncing Bettys 01-25-2019 09:33 PM

It was supposed to be a friendly wager. Sad to see anyone leave this forum, as it's members slowly dwindle in numbers (at least that's the impression I get). I hope welfare will return. I would hope the same for Manic if he had lost. Welfare appears to be a man of word, worthy of more respect than he ever received here.

Now now, a bets a bet. He won fair and square. He'd have done the same i think.

Manic, good job.
I'll be honest, I've kinda found your diligence admirable.
I think maybe you're gonna miss it. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Catch y'all on the flip side.
Peace

LOL... things like this make you realize why (good) lawyers get paid so much

If everyone is as responsible and live up to their words like Manic and welfare, we wouldn't need that many lawyers at all.

Congrats to Manic for the win. And highest respect for welfare to live up to his words.

Manic! 01-26-2019 12:54 AM

I wonder is trump still going to prez when welfare comes back?

originalhypa 01-26-2019 08:03 AM

I won't be missing welfare's ad hominem ignorance.
Latez jackass!

What are the odds your going to give me? Getting rid of a president is extremely hard.

MG1 01-26-2019 10:08 PM

America so amazing............. first black president, almost a female president, and now a village idiot for president. America so great.

I saw the video before the kid even released a statement or other videos came out and I was like okay... he's just smiling... where's the racism? I feel bad for the kid, any single one of us can easily step on the wrong side of one of these social media assassination attempts in this day and age.

That said, you're asking for it these days wearing that hat given what it's identified with. Why not just throw your BoSox one on and be done with it instead of always trying to make a statement unless you're fully prepared to deal with the fallout.

Literally wearing a red hat that says "Make American Great Again" is viewed along the same lines as wearing a white hood. That's what Donald Trump brought to the table. Wear that hat in certain neighbourhoods in the states, you will get your ass handed to you.

Funny thing, the native guy across the kid is a known liar and troll.

Now, even with folks who have not seen the video, the media has antagonized the kid as the bad guy because he was wearing the MAGA hat. Like you said, if you watch the video, other than wearing that fucking hat, I don't think the kid did anything wrong.

it's the unfortunate narrative the media is/has been pushing. I see a fair amount of support from hispanics and african americans for trump too (no, not kanye)

Didn't help the kid had a dumbass smirk on his face wearing that stupid hat.

If trump calls a state of emergency for the wall whats stopping a future democratic president from calling a state of emergency over guns?

That even better makes the case for a state of emergency for guns. Bring out the military.

yeah and how many of them know how to make bombs and coordinate crazy shit.

30% is a shitty stat man. i wouldn't want to go up against that.

remember, they're humans. they'll figure ways out to fuck u up without guns, or even showing their faces.

30% of 360 million people is 120 million. No army in the world is that large and well armed to beat that.

30% of 360 million is 108 million, not 120 million

USA has 325 million citizens and approximately 30% own at least one firearm according to 2017 statistics (and about 42% have access to a gun in their household).

So 97.5 million people with at least one gun.

Out of those 97.5 million how many of them are Grandma who has dead Gramdpa's 40 year old gun somewhere in a back closet and how many of them are a 8 year old who just got 22 for Christmas.

Also only about 6% of the 97.5 million gun owners are NRA members. Guns don't seem like a big priority to a lot of people who own guns.

Guns in America: Attitudes and Experiences of Americans | Pew Research Center

Quote:

Roughly three-quarters of Americans who currently own a gun (73%) say they can’t see themselves ever not owning one, and this is the case among majorities of gun owners across demographic groups.

Perhaps not surprisingly, those who see owning a gun as central to their overall identity are particularly committed to gun ownership. For example, 89% of gun owners who see owning a gun as very or somewhat important to their overall identity say they can’t see themselves ever not owning a gun, compared with 58% of those who say owning a gun is not too important or not at all important their sense of identity.

And while 85% of gun owners who say the right to own guns is essential to their sense of freedom say they can’t see themselves ever not owning a gun at some point, 41% of those who don’t see the right to own guns as essential say the same.
It's a substantial number of people. Keep in mind that US private citizens own more guns than the next 25 countries combined.
