Not directly related, but Hong Kong's District Council elections happened amidst a similar 'left' political movement. The result was an absolute landslide, as voting turnout went from like 30% to 70%

Voter turnout will go up significantly in the US, especially among black people, immigrants, and poor people (the latter groups typically have the lowest turnout, which is how things like Trump happen). They're the most disenfranchised, and the ones who need to get rid of Trump the most.

I've seen a fair amount of anti-Trump stuff coming from people who say they're Republicans so it'll be interesting to see how many of them will actually vote against him.

For sure nobody should get ahead of themselves, they need to keep up the pressure and make sure people actually vote.
