I'm not sure how any of this can be fixed at this point. From a political structure standpoint, the US is totally broken and its population is far too polarized to agree in any meaningful way to fix it.
It will truly be interesting to see what the US looks like over the next 20 years.
It’s not just the system being broken and polarized views either… it’s literally the fact everyone thinks everything is a conspiracy or hidden truths now, people believe everything AND nothing at all now.
How do you proceed as a people when everyone thinks everything is out to get you and every decision is the result of a hidden agenda of some sort.
I’m glad I’m almost to a point situationally and age wise that I can kind of just withdraw and focus on hobbies and small joys lol, don’t need to pay attention or be invited in any of this trenchwork anymore

The BLS’ monthly labor report Friday showed that the US economy added only 73,000 jobs in July, far below expectations. It also sharply revised down the employment growth that had been previously reported in May and June – by a combined 258,000 jobs.
After the revisions, the jobs report showed the weakest pace of hiring for any three-month period since the pandemic recession in 2020.

I actually agree with you on a reasonable amount of stuff, however, we will likely never agree on Covid related things. As someone who’s wife saw things first hand in the hospital directly related to that that most people outside of healthcare didn’t, there are gaps in the public knowledge unless people that they knew died or had loved ones die.
But again, we just don’t need to talk THAT much about it anymore. What’s been done has been done, and thankfully, in that regard, things are back to normal and we aren’t left with any lingering rules or stipulations in our current lives that we’re shitty about it. Just keep it to the topic at hand. There is a Covid thread still here and the vaccine shit, even if I don’t agree with what you say about it, can be written to your hearts content in there.

Things like the Epstein thing will happen over and over again because the system will just cover it up and, in fact, probably use this MORE as it is such a powerful tool to control people. Get them on tape in a VERY embarrassing situation and you've got that person under your thumb.... forever. Nobody is even going to protest this. Business as usual. Trump is absolutely working for a challah-scented shadow government. Give it another news cycle and it will be memoryholed completely. Or just become a meme. "But HER emails!"
