British Columbia Dealer, Repairer, Manufacturer, Transporter plates are only issued in singles High chance other provinces are the same |
lol good thing bmw canada is in Richmond |
^ Press cars don’t use dealer plates, they use Ontario plates |
Ok that FRS is not stock. Those are after market headlights that you need to re-pin to have them work, they appear to have a turn signal. That foglight is aftermarket and there is a turn signal light above it that's been removed/blacked with plastic dip where your normal turn signal would be. Let's get some more facts here. It makes us look bad if we go around using "Stock" cars as examples of victims of VI's when the car is not stock and if the lights were not re-pinned they won't have a DRL or turn signal. |
Looks like they ran out of sports cars, they going after stock FRS and stock basic af bmw 3 series not even m sport https://instagram.com/stories/loonie...83331593969270 |

Since you edited, I'll continue to clarify - he does have working DRLs and turn signals. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk |
All this drama only hours after my previous post almost confirms that the members of the unit are getting desperate trying to maintain their unrealistic and basically fraudulent numbers. On pink shirt day, no less. BMW Canada's technical manager will hear the background story. Hopefully something positive come out of this as cars don't come much more stock than press cars. |

On top of that cars having them turn off with the handbrake up is new to me (mine come on when you drop it down but then they stay on til the car is turned off) but I could see why it would cause confusion when pulled over. As for the BMW, does that model have a sports exhaust option like people have been talking about the obnoxiously loud cars having? |

BMW will know about the incident, and then it is up to them to decide what to do. I also hope the Porsche Club folks will inform Porsche Canada about their run in with the VPD as well. As both vehicles are bone stock, I hope both manufacturers will see how this bullshxt enforcement will only hurt their sales numbers here in Vancouver, and dedicate some resources to address it. |
I wonder if BMW Canada will compensate for the unnecessary noise ticket or fight in court on your behalf. The inspection can obviously be taken care of. |
I sincerely doubt it. From my understanding Automakers only create cars to pass whatever federal requirements, not provincial and certainly not what some wack ass group of crooked cops in a municipality. With all their bean counting (saving a couple of cents per part is a metric they look at) I don’t think they’ll give a shit about us. But that being said it doesn’t hurt to ask. |

The last thing you should be doing is donating money to some stranger called the Hype Bunny that drives a VI machine and goes around every corner sideways in rush hour traffic. He's not exactly a good poster child for the cause. |
