I'm not saying it's just, I'm saying legally they are allowed to do that.

"all these" is a bit of a stretch though, only a small handful posted here are actually factory. And death threats as a response to something as relatively minor as a VI (yes it has a cost and takes time but fucking come on now) is pretty sad.

Where the fuck did he get that information?

Sounds like he’s in the right profession (apology to all the non sleeze car salesmen).

This town goin' wild.

Off topic but that was not true. I don't want more misinformation being spread. Matt already deleted his defamatory posts and the accused made a public statement on his Facebook profile and was interviewed by local media outlets.

Matt @ Applewood is a total c*cksucker.

I get that the cops are in their legal right to issue tickets or VIs. But think of it this way, every cop is in their legal right to issue ANY car going exactly 1 km/h a speeding ticket. This is what Cain and friends have been doing. Yes, there are cars that deserve a VI (my old s13 which got a box 2) , but there are some cars (modified but no excessively stupid like mine) that can be let go.
You start ticketing every 1 km/h vehicle on the road, what kind of reaction would you honestly expect?
In addition, the method in which they are issuing N&O and noise tickets are the equivalent of " I feel like you are driving over the limit. I don't have a radar gun or any solid evidence but based on your car and what I guess... Here is your excessive speeding ticket"

In short.. yes they are right but it doesn't make it right...

tofu1413 02-29-2020 11:52 AM

the biggest problems is they Don't admit they are wrong and law abiding citizens are wrongfully fined, ticketed or charged.

fliptuner 02-29-2020 12:25 PM

Intent and agenda.

What is their intent by issuing these marginal and unfounded inspections? It doesn't make the roads any safer. Bad tires, non-functional lights, sure.

Do they have an agenda, protected by the guise of an overly generalized MVA, that allows them to harass a certain group of car owners? Absolutely.

They're not trained professionals, nor are they conducting the tests properly - making up reasons for inspections that aren't supported by any actual facts or laws.

If anyone should be allowed to issue inspections, it should only be CVSE officers.

yup, meeting happened, no city officials / vpd though, but alot of diff club members gathered to pool their knowledge and resources.

It was a great event, knowing things are in the works and moving along far beyond one individual voice/influence is reassuring

lol

thanks for showing up 20 minutes before meeting finished.

I also highly encourage members affected directly by this to attend upcoming meetings and voice their concerns and opinions.

There is initiative and an actual direction in this. we stand stronger as a group in the same direction than individuals.

Haha I actually was there since the beginning, before the owner of the Porsche that was pulled over started to speak first, followed by the president of PCA of our region came up to speak second =P

I was just siting at the other table, we had the pillar between us and didnt notice you until I walked up to hear better as the cafe part was getting louder.

you frickin Ninja :fuckthatshit:

there will be further meetings of this sort in the next while. Fellow RS members, if you got time, by all means join the group and let us know you will attend.

a bit of contribution of effort and opinion from members here and there will contribute a huge difference to our Local Automotive community and hopefully make progressive, positive changes for the future.

hud 91gt 02-29-2020 08:47 PM

How does one sign up to said “group”?

Harvey Specter 02-29-2020 09:40 PM

Interesting comment I read on reddit. Mark Christensen and the VPD traffic unit have escorted supercars for the Driven Project drives. The guy who runs Driven Project, who I've met a few times, owns a Performante which is lowered, has an exhaust and tune. How in the hell hasn't this guy received a ticket or VI but cars with stock exhaust are getting tickets and VI's?

Corruption. If they get paid for it, they will turn a blind eye.

68style 02-29-2020 10:19 PM

^ It’s true Christensen had tonnes of photos of it on his Twitter before he locked it up being a douche posing with all these super cars and their owners.

Such a fucking hypocritical clownshoe.

The photos are still all over Driven Project's Instagram page if anyone's curious.

Why did Revscene take down the BMW VI from their IG?

Good question, I can't go into the details right now.

Once I get updates I will let you guys know

I'm sorry I can't say more at this time, not sure if there's legal action etc. If there is I don't want my posts to affect the outcome.

AstulzerRZD 03-04-2020 01:07 PM

Anyone aware of any domestics V8 cars getting VIs?

My previous Charger R/T with the standard dual mode OEM exhaust (any V8 model 2017+ has this) is probably much louder than most 4/6 cyl cars with an exhaust.
