All I care about is how Carney performs currently. All of this talk on how experienced he is and how much he saved the economy and yet he is continuously out maneuvered by Trump. It is pretty embarrassing how much we conceded and how little was achieved. Carney is already soft-launching that Tariffs will remain in place in any deal. So this master negotiatior will probably work out a deal where Canada is in a worse position compared to 2024. So sad, bro.

I can’t believe there’s not 1 person in the Con party who’s not hungry enough to challenge him for the leadership. That’s the craziest thing to me, all these power hungry sycophants in politics and not a single one sees an opportunity to be seized?

Whatever you might think about Carney or whoever, not one single county is winning a trade deal with the USA in a fight except China. Full stop. That’s it.

You should know this to be easily true with all your economics edumacation.

CivicBlues 07-24-2025 08:57 PM

Trump isn't outmaneuvering anyone. The whole entire world is playing chess, while Trump isn't even playing checkers. He's just flipping the game board over and telling people to give him all the pieces because he thinks that's how he "wins" the game.

I don't really care about the deals made with other countries. We share a border with the US and have a much different relationship with the US than other countries. The whole handling of DST really says a lot about the ability of the liberal government to negotiate. Its not about the DST itself, its how quickly he folded and got nothing in return. How do you expect this liberal government to be capable of re-negotiating USMCA, bro?

Cool story, bro. Do you think Canada has an upper hand/more leverage than the US in these trade negotiations? I am hoping the liberal party can prove and redeem themselves here.

68style 07-25-2025 04:50 AM

Yes, let’s hedge an opinion of the entirety of something on a situation where you already know 100% the result will be an agreement where the best that can be done is losing as little as possible no matter who is in power.

I’m sure you will be politically satisfied in this zero sum argument. Totally obtuse.

You do realize the Canadian system encourages lapdogs and ass-kissers, and not people who challenge the leader?

Like I said, I could make a 2 minute AL slop trailer for a new Real Conservative Canadian party and it would be more inspirational than ANYTHING the shitbag CPC, fake-ass controlled opposition party has put out in years.

unit 07-25-2025 07:03 AM

how can you outmaneuver trump when they have all the leverage?
best you can do is try to minimize the pain.
you can't win a trade war when you have 1/10 of the power and the other side is hell bent on destroying you.

err no? Unless our country can overnight add 300 million people I don't think we do, which is why your fixation that somehow the outcome of this negotiation lies entirely with Carney is idiotic. The whole entire world is being taken along for a ride with a chainsaw wielding chimpanzee driving. Best we can do is minimize the damage and get off the ride.

But you're arguing from a position of bad faith, similar to Trump's negotiation tactic. It's no win for you whatever Carney does.

Your manz, Carney, has only been taking L after L after L with very few Ws.

Maybe we shouldn't have elected someone who is incapable of negotiating and just concedes and caves on everything so easily.

lol. So pointing out he achieved nothing so far is arguing "from a position of bad faith?"

Bro...

CivicBlues 07-25-2025 07:23 AM

And your "manz" PP needs to get parachuted into a safe riding in order to stay an MP. Biggest loser around in Ottawa.

Hondaracer 07-25-2025 07:27 AM

Carney was the saviour during the election

Now he’s not for the same people, of course it played out like this lol

The greatest businessman Canada has ever seen can’t do shit and Canada continues to spiral, elbows up!

Month 8 of Carney, year 11 of the liberals.

I don't care what he is doing. He is not PM.

Hondaracer 07-25-2025 07:33 AM

No matter how bad the liberals will do, at least their supporters will always have “but what if it was PP”

:lol

Jason00S2000 07-25-2025 07:35 AM

My current favourite thing in Canada is Reddit's massive campaign to stop Sean Feucht's tour across Canada.

Muslims can take over Toronto's streets and pray, intimidate the J's, smash windows, smoke grenades, wear their tea towel masks... and Reddit does not even allow negative comments about that. That is beautiful, multicultural Canada, you fucking bigot.

One Christian American comes to Canada for some songs and everyone loses their minds! FASCISTS!!!! EVIL!!!! CANCEL THEM!!! :lol:lol:lol

unit 07-25-2025 07:35 AM

well you cant escape that you guys wanted PP to be the PM

Hondaracer 07-25-2025 07:39 AM

No, we wanted a change in the party that’s shit the bed for a decade.

Most boomers think everything is fine. Even Gen X I meet, most think Canada is still in really good shape.

The only people who are angry enough about Canada are.... poor. (*edit* and young.)

Like just get rich and 99.9% of your life it doesn't even matter who is in control. I bet most people will say "trans women are women" if it means they get to enjoy life as a millionaire with no day job. Hell yeah... also... guess who bought my boomer in-law's multi-million dollar home in Vancouver recently? INDIANS! A family of like 30 of them so I've been told.

I love having no job and an online income that doesn't take too much effort. Who fucking cares who is in power as long as they're not trying to force me to take some hebrew poison injection.

unit 07-25-2025 07:43 AM

well likewise you can say the same for us, we didnt vote for carney, we voted to keep PP and his trump inspired populism out of canada.

Badhobz 07-25-2025 07:52 AM

I VOTED FOR PP !!!! that fucking loser !!! god i should have just stayed home.

So what do you suggest he do differently then? You keep armchair quarterbacking before the results even become final so you tell us what the fuck he should be doing instead of crying like a little bitch on an anonymous forum.

westopher 07-25-2025 07:55 AM

Tariffs are damaging the US economy at a quicker rate than they are in Canada, so while not ideal, I’d say that shows there has a been a decent job of mitigating the effects so far. No matter how shrewd of a negotiator you are, you can’t control the decisions of the psychopath you are negotiating with.

Jason00S2000 07-25-2025 07:57 AM

Another wild thing in Canadian politics is how fucking angry everyone is on social media about the 5 hockey players being not-guilty.

If those 5 hockey guys had gangbanged ANOTHER GUY... they'd get the Order of Canada. We'd be wrapping hockey sticks up with rainbow tape for those guys so they wouldn't get bullied for it in the NHL. Hell, Hockey Canada would create some sort of new "Bridges of Inclusion" award for those 5 dudes for including male-on-male gangbangs into mainstream hockey.

The hypocrisy is so fucking off-the-charts in this country it is so fucking insane.

Literally all you can do is get rich and laugh your asses off at people who do the mental gymnastics neccessary for this performative "Canadian" bullshit.
