Do you remember this incident, guy hits a van at border at high speed, van explodes and driver of van died. Guy walks free, charges dismissed due to mental health. Sad beyond words but this could be a sign of things to come in the Lapu Lapu festival. There may have to be a new category to hold someone responsible even though they were mentally not fit. Maybe guilty of involuntary manslaughter due to Mental Health or something. https://globalnews.ca/news/11161596/...mily-reaction/ |

So if you’re a retard you can basically get away with murder. Well that’s just peachy….

the easiest way to get away with murder is to do it with a car. cyclists are mowed down all the time and its extremely rare for them to get charged with murder or even vehicular manslaughter.

Don't forget, Australia has "land acknowledgements" too, but it's called something stupid like "Welcome to Country" or something, but it is just as woke as land acknowledgements in Canada, too. Same shit.

My question would be is why aren't driver's licenses taken away from people with higher levels of mental illness?
You're not taking a right away from them, since driving was never a right. Again, we always talk about guns, but vehicles will easily do more harm as showcased at Lapu Lapu.

We were at the memorial yesterday standing at the fences and this guy walks up to one of the VPD officers and asks him that same question.
His answer was essentially what we all know, they don't have the authority to take away someone's license. They can make a recommendation to ICBC, but there's a process behind that, but unfortunately police aren't in the authority to revoke someone's license due to mental health issues.

Was it fast? Yes.
Was it fun? I don't know how to describe it, but the electric acceleration and gas pedal felt disconnected from the sensation of mechanical speed. No shifting, no vibrations, no feeling of thousands of little explosions inside of an engine scooting you along. Just linear acceleration and a disconnect in the sensation of driving between your foot and the vehicle. The sound sucked! It took all of the fun out of driving and knowing your vehicle.
Also, the no shifting thing, hated it!
Driving my manual transmission cars feels so much more engaging and alive.
ICE cars feel like you're in control of some beastly animal.
EV cars feel like you're riding on a magic carpet with a mind of its own.

If I had an unlimited budget for a car right now, I'd either get a turbo S2000 with an upgraded transmission and differential, or a turbo Plymouth Prowler with an upgraded transmission and differential. (With the ugly ass front bumpers removed. Car looks sick as fuck without them, and super dorky with them!)

My sister is a tech at Richmond Hospital and she takes peoples licenses away quite often when they fail various tests she conducts, most of them to do with mental health.

Anyone remember this brutal accident? https://globalnews.ca/news/10760847/...wedding-crash/
I'm sorry, but how the fuck do you mistake the gas for the brake... you should never drive again if that is the case, and her ass should have gone to jail just for the sake that if you mow down people when you fuck up while driving, there NEEDS to be some punishment so people are more fucking cautious behind the wheel.

Pastors familiar my of the guy killed at the border, never saw the actual ruling, never saw the evidence he was not fit to be trialed, “few words spoken” and the judge throws the case out and the guy walks with zero penalty.
Insanity. Let alone the guy is a Washington state resident, killed a Canadian in Canada, trialed in Canada, let off with nothing.

I mean if we're going to use mental health as a reason to get off then you could basically use it in any situation. Your wife cheats on you? Kill her and say your mental state was severely impaired and you don't even remember what happened.
No normal person would ever actually kill someone so at the time of the killing their mental state was impaired and it's never anyone's fault. Give the dude some happy pills and have a nice day.

Like I said, that Mr green guy who prevented this retard from getting murdered is a real asshole. It’s the right thing to do he says…. You tell that to the kids and families who survived this massacre and then have to watch this jackass get off Scott free. Yeah… right thing to do my ass. You’re aiding and abetting that murderer at this point.

Each EV probably doing 60kWh for a 80% charge on a Model 3/Y LR, so $17 profit per session.

Chevron are charging 65c/kwh, 55c margin and $33 profit per session.
~4 sessions per day to payoff in 5 years.

An absolute slap in the face to the victim's family.
And because he has no criminal record in this case, it's not like his employer can fire him (he's a nurse) otherwise he can sue for wrongful dismissal. I wouldn't want this rolling ball of Pan fried Paneer near people, given his documented mental history.
Fuck everything...
