That basically acts like a CPU cooler and pushes the hot air around... its really nice, but wouldnt fully solve my situation and justification for the price.
An update before I fully reply, I got all the parts... where water will basically loop around into ceramic pot to dissipate heat in my room and out to a slow cooker to get pumped up again. Any major flaws here?
I can donate you a 6 gallon hot water tank with pressure regulator if you want to run closed loop lol. That way if theres ever too much pressure the regulator releases the pressure down a drain or whatever lol. Your resevoir is so small youll probably have over flow from all the water in the lines especially if you run it at thr lowest point.
Thanks for the offer but i wonder if I can keep it to conventional home parts aside from the $30 pump I bought at Canadian Tire (made for boats).
My photoshop is a little misleading... the pump is many times smaller then the slow cooker container size... I'll see if I can make a trial run tomorrow night.

Holy shit that's tragic. Yea I'm not having any propane inside at all. Ditched the furnace already and will be removing the stove next. Cooking will be done on external BBQ.
Wow, nice, and the water probably circulates by itself.
Since my pump was not self priming, I had to set it on the kitchen counter for it to able to pump water through the copper piping that I had made into a loop over the fireplace.
This meant keeping a reservoir of water by the kitchen\fireplace and using it up at cold time and letting it drain out in my rooms bathroom.
My next step is to get this proper $100 pump at Princess Auto and circulate the water.
So far Ive been low on cash and with my van burning more fuel then before, due to a needed repair Im planning to do, I put the project on hold for now.

The apartments central heater doesnt turn on much because the thermometer (although set at max) is located by the living-room where the fireplace keeps the temperatures up all the while the rooms are cold. It does turn on when its colder... but I cant turn on the fan alone through the control panel for some reason. One solution would be to, as mentioned already with the airs circulation, is to set the fan system to automatically turn on ever so often and pump the livingroom heat around.

I have a wall of large windows in the room... there are curtains where Ive taped the sides up and use clothespin to seal the window off. At the bottom of the window I placed a tall shelf sideways and cover it with a wool rug. This method of trapping the cold air tremendously improved my problem.

The only excuse as to why households arent allowed to use wood burning stoves is the smoke. There must be smoke filtering technology out by now... but even then cheap wood would make people more independent... not something the government wants. https://globalnews.ca/news/3830685/m...ng-fireplaces/

Even the so called safe 'buddy heaters' that most campers/van dwellers use is not safe despite not setting off detectors...

Do you have a key (not sure the english word for it) in the flume to adjust how much air it's pulling? And do you have a dog leg in the flume or is it just vertical up from the stove through the ceiling
I set up lots of hunting camps this summer and we always put a dog leg in the chimney and I was told you had to.
I'm planning on having a truck camper in the near future and installing one of these.

I now have a self priming pump to do the livingroom setup, but since Im spending more time freezing in the van with my CNC machine these days I may do a radiant heating setup in there.
You can start coals in a chimney like he does on his BBQ then just shove the entire thing inside your oven. If you stack a chimney on top it'll draw more air like this big Green egg in the video. You can cook pizza in the top oven if you put a pizza stone in there lol.

No chimney yet... the way that 'Green' stove rose in temperature is amazing.
Im considering a compact version, just for heat alone, using a fancy garbage can that I have.
What I dont like about my current stove is the all the little venting slits that would be hard to patch up and its bulky too.

When a certain few seals give way, I feel Toyota designed it so that it would drip on to the hot exhaust, smell bad, and give you a warning to repair the van.... but neglected long-term leaks can get so bad that the car can catch on fire. That could be the case for the above van.

Make sure your insurance company knows you’re using the fireplace to heat. If you haven’t told them already and you have a claim they can void your policy.

True but they might also increase the rates. In the apartment the risk is a few litres of water being dumped on the ground... and the van is worth nothing really.
