The last time the NHL punished a team by taking away their 1st rounder, it was New Jersey for the Kovalchuk contract. They ended up allowing New Jersey to choose 30th overall instead of forfeiting a draft pick.

Don't understand why they have to condense the games meanwhile the eastern series are minimally affected. There should be literally no scheduling conflicts in the bubble besides the other Semifinal. :rukidding:

werent we scheduled for a back to back anyways? i beleive each round you have to have one back to back and i forgot if it was game 4 and 5 originally scheduled for that so there's not much of a difference here with the new schedule

bring on the hockey!! hopefully this pause allows more time for myers to recover but hopefully the we still can ride our momentum in to game 3!

There is an additional back-to-back now between 5 and 6 or 6 and 7.

At this point in the grand scheme of things, adding an extra day to avoid having two back-to-backs in a series probably has more of an impact on the players/outcome of the series, than rescheduling training camp next season.
