Demko as a last ditch effort for Game 5?

EmperorIS 08-30-2020 09:04 PM

Canucks so good

MG1 08-30-2020 09:05 PM

The most dangerous lead in hockey, is the two goal lead. Unless, it's the Golden Knights that have the lead.

BlackV62K2 08-30-2020 09:06 PM

I don't see the Canucks winning 3 straight against VGKs

Yah let’s just ignore all the constant fuckup passes to the point on the power play

No.

bobbinka 08-30-2020 09:15 PM

it was fun while it lasted

Jmac 08-30-2020 09:18 PM

Markstrom wanted that 3rd goal back but I don’t think you can really put the blame on him. Team in front of him is just giving up too many high quality scoring chances.

MG1 08-30-2020 09:24 PM

Fleury played like he didn't miss a game.

spoon.ek9 08-30-2020 09:25 PM

sigh, we tried our best. Vegas is clearly the better team. Proud of our boys.

MG1 08-30-2020 09:29 PM

Balls to the wall for game five.

full throttle.......... damn the torpedos, full speed ahead!

BlackV62K2 08-30-2020 09:31 PM

At least Boston is also one game away from elimination LUL

I’m shocked that Dallas is beating Colorado, might as well pave the way to the Finals for VGK if they beat us and Dallas takes that series

Tim Budong 08-30-2020 09:44 PM

thing for me is, this was a very winnable game for the boys tonight. Fatigued seemed to be a factor here.

Markstrom is the only reason the Canucks are even in this position.

Didnt Colorado lose a few key players to injuries?

AzNightmare 08-31-2020 12:19 AM

Canucks are simply at their limit now. They've been battling hard and going full throttle the entire playoffs. Their margin of errors were so tight against St.Louis and Vegas, if they eased off for a moment, the puck would be in their net. Definitely not a sustainable way to play, but it's what you do when your team simply doesn't have the depth or talent.

They're the underdog team for a reason, but yet they've went beyond all my expectations, including bouncing back from deficits where I've been guilty of writing them off prematurely before the game ended...

Canucks are just burnt out, going 100% trying to keep up while Vegas is just cruising at 75%. That's simply the luxury of a better team that's not expending as much energy from a physical and mental aspect.

pastarocket 08-31-2020 07:28 AM

The team just needs to focus on winning game 5. Play smart, desperation hockey. The guys needs to do a much job in their forecheck in order to prevent Vegas' forwards from having easy breakouts out of their zone.

That big goon Reaves is an embarrassment to the Golden Knights. Does he really have to chirp and trash talk at coach Green in game 4?? What an idiot! This fool has no class, no sportsmanship.

Winning games will silence that goon. -really need to win game 5 to stave off elimination and give Roussel a chance at the end of the game to tell Reaves to shut the fuck up.

Avs on the brink, Flyers on the brink, Canucks on the brink, bruins on the brink... all 3-1

Stanley Cup defending champs eliminated...

big guns like Crosby and Ovechkin not even in it...

its nothing to be ashamed of, canucks did what they could.

Most importantly, they lost their goalie and have their backup in net.

mikemhg 08-31-2020 11:22 AM

3-1 is tough to come back from in hockey.

As other said, I don't think anyone should be disappointed here, the Canucks have exceeded their expectations here. We watched the game after boating at Milltown last night, it's pretty apparently how much better Vegas is.

They're a scary team, they consistently looked dangerous the entire game there.

Sw0op 08-31-2020 11:55 AM

Vegas is built to "win the cup" but the Canucks have enough to "get in and win maybe 1 or 2 rounds"...big difference here...whats good to see is that the "core" players have done and carried the team for the most part

their "backup" played almost the same amount as games as their starter in the regular season and with better numbers so having him in net and losing is not an excuse really

In fairness it has just been a wild series. Colorado could have easily been the ones up 3-1 right now too. Yea, I know they aren't but it ain't like you watching the first 4 games from our series where you can for sure say yup, Vegas up 3-1 without a doubt and shit if it wasn't for Marky in Game 2 we could have been swept ed already.

SkinnyPupp 08-31-2020 03:08 PM

Not saying it's over but the run has been really fun to get into after no hockey for 7 years. It gives me hope for the future, something that doesn't happen often when you watch your team get eliminated. I'll be following them during next season for sure!

As for the rest of the playoffs, I've been watching the Islanders games and I like their chances. Might be Islanders vs Knights in the finals, and I'd be rooting for the Isles in that case. Maybe 6'5" 235 lbs Ross Johnston can smash the goofy look off Reaves' face if he decides to go at their coach LUL
