Erikksson with another empty net goal!
No response yet, guess everyone was still in bed during this early early
I was able to watch the first period but then headed out for brunch. Funny thing was, I got lucky and the restaurant had a TV; BUT, it was across from me and facing in the opposite direction. I ended up watching it from the reflection on the mirror lol.

That's how the national anthem should be sung. Straight forward. Let the voice do its thing. None of this embellished to the 9's, trying to be a Mariah Carey pop singer. Hiding imperfections, trying so hard to make the national anthem their own, then failing. Funny thing is, the fans seem to like all the embellished, silicone implant bullshit. Makes sense, I guess. Canucks fans, no matter how hard they try, can't keep the beat steady when Mark let's them sing a cappella. A society where music is less important than the ................ nuff said. /rant.
While I'm at it, most anthem singers around the league sing the anthems with little to no embellishments. Pure voice, natural vibrato, and singing with passion. Can you imagine Jim Cornelison singing the anthem like the chicks do at Canucks games?
And, yes....... Mark does his own thing, but it's an octave jump at the end. Nothing more. No flips, turns, extra grace notes, etc.
As mentioned many times before, this has got to be the weirdest singing of O Tannembaum............errrrr......I mean Canada.
