So that means... we didn't smash a new record yesterday, but the revised numbers also mean last weekend's report is no longer 1933 total, it's now 2220.

Curious what happens when an individual is issued a fine, how that is enforced? If it is a fine for a car/driving offense, it shows up when you try to renew your license if you don't pay. But if it is an individual, what happens if you don't pay? Just lots of collection agency letters?

These are significant corrections and completely change how we thought we were doing. Cases have actually been trending down over the last week vs trending up.

A year into the pandemic and they can't count?

And in Fraser Health if they get rid of one they will just make another one

Hondaracer 11-25-2020 04:45 PM

Fake numbers are fake?

RiceIntegraRS 11-25-2020 04:53 PM

Also it seems EIs are under the impression that even if they are Covid +, if they show no symptoms they are fine to wander about in public

StylinRed 11-25-2020 05:00 PM

It's not that they don't know how to count, it's about matching positive samples to their submission date I believe

Life labs now doing antibody tests, $75 a pop:

^ aren't they the ones that do the bogus allergy testing for naturopaths? I'd do some serious research before paying them for anything.

Kudos to ON for putting 15% cap on delivery apps! At least during lockdown. Win win for everyone, encourage people to still support local restaurant industry.

-Covid vaccine rollout plan. Front line health care workers, first responders, and other people (seniors?) get the vaccine shots first.

OTTAWA (NEWS 1130) – Nurses, doctors, police officers, and firefighters will be among those first in line to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Deputy Public Health Officer Dr. Howard Njoo outlined the country’s vaccine rollout on Thursday, confirming Canada is expecting six-million doses of vaccines in the first quarter of 2021.

“We’re doing everything we can to give Canadians access to the safest, most effective COVID-19 vaccines in the world,” Njoo said at the first in a series of weekly briefings on Canada’s vaccination efforts.

So a colleague sent me a message saying there are road blocks around HWY 91 and HWY 17 as well as king George and 72nd checking to see if people within a vehicle live at the same address.

That’s weird..wonder which type of people they are targeting in those areas..

Can’t confirm it’s anything more than a rumour though

That is a fact. One of my cousins was driving solo on Canada Way. She went through the checkpoint. She was wearing her mask.

Friends tell me that cops are checking for passengers in vehicles for people who are not immediate family members. If these people are not immediate family members, and are not wearing masks, they would receive $230 fine per person.

Canada way in Burnaby? Does Canada way extend into surrey? Because my colleague mentioned Canada way as well in the same breathe but I was thinking Canada way is the oddball of those locations

Canada Way is really close to the Highway 1 entrance when you turn off Kensington Ave before taking the entrance to the Highway.

Put it this way, until I see a ticket, it's fake news.

It's always been like that.
Remember back in May, people said they were getting $1000 tickets for being in the same car as others with no mask.

Or earlier this week with the Cactus Club rumors.

No tickets, no believe.

And yes, Bonnie admitted to spreading scare rumors when she came out with that wedding scenario a few weeks back.

My cousin played me for a fool again!

-should have known better. There is no way she would be driving eastbound to another province home given her situation. :suspicious:

Meanwhile, in the 6 ... I hope the police had a great feast afterwards. Adamson BBQ actually has great food, better than Memphis, like Hog Shack level or better. But c'mon folks, take out BBQ is just as good ... why all the ruckus? Was it worth it?

The idiot owner is a covid denier and posted some lame ass video about opening during the lockdown.

Not going to post that video as I don't want him getting any more attention than he deserves.

CivicBlues 11-26-2020 02:27 PM

^after they cuff these morons they should slap a mask on them. That'll be the greatest poetic insult. Plus they're putting them into squad cars, why the fuck not?

Sounds like all covid deniers who support the restaurant owner, or the BBQ is that good.

887 cases today according the gov website.
