I miss those Puma racing inspired shoes with the thin soles. I still have a few pairs because I used to buy a pair here and there during Black Friday sales over the years, but they're getting harder to find.

It sucks driving my 6 speed with the modern 2" thick pillow shoes.

SSM_DC5 05-17-2025 12:41 PM

^ haven't bought a pair for few years, but last time looking was difficult, so many with Ferrari or BMW branding. I think there was only 1 without car brands. I used to daily with them, now it's track only shoe because it was hard to find a new pair

Badhobz 05-17-2025 01:11 PM

try geox. their soles are thin as fuck.... trolololol

I loved those Pumas - had the Ferrari branded ones. Adidas also had them back in the day as well, them and the Pumas looked and felt practically identical.

I'm like you with having spares but for Cole Haans; I've worn the same model of Cole Haans since before COVID and I'm now down to my last pair of them after having stockpiled them for a while. I think I've gone through 8 pairs of the same shoe.

After yesterday's post, now I get targeted by puma eBay. Discount code puma40off. Expires end of June.

Anyone here bought the Shark Stratos vacuum cleaner at Costco? Thoughts on it? For the most part, the reviews have been on the good side.
Reg price is $300 something. It's $230 now. Online only.

Badhobz 05-19-2025 09:17 AM

I didn't try it, but I think it's basically a garbage knockoff Dyson, which itself is quite garbage considering how often it breaks.

Funny you ask. A colleague of mine bought one last week and already returned it because it failed. Badhboz described it 100% to the T. I personally don't know anyone who has had a reliable Shark product. They either fail right out of the box or literally days after the warranty expires.

I have a handheld Shark vacuum I bought years ago that still works great. Bought it from crappy tire on sale for like $90? Does exactly what I need it to for those touch up jobs around the apartment.

bcrdukes 05-19-2025 03:36 PM

I stand corrected. You are the only exception I know of. :lol

Edit: Damn it, 68style!

Great68 05-20-2025 08:49 AM

I too have a (corded) 8 year old Shark stick vac (bought from costco) that still works great.

bcrdukes 05-20-2025 09:43 AM

You guys are killing me.

68style 05-20-2025 10:03 AM

Just to complicate things, I also have recently bought 2 Shark products... their version of a roomba and also the little stick vac from Costco that's on sale for cleaning cars. Both work great! Roomba was pretty stupid while learning but it's getting there.

i have a shark stick vac that i use in my office. it's not the most powerful but it still works fine 5 years later. my home dyson v8 is better but for something that gets a bit more beat up at the shop, can't complain

bcrdukes 05-20-2025 10:07 AM

Fuck you badhobz hahaha

Badhobz 05-20-2025 10:37 AM

youre all a bunch of cheap homos with your gay ass shark vacs. I hope they all clog and fail.

RabidRat 05-20-2025 11:08 AM

I have a Ninja air fryer combo pressure cooker, working flawlessly after 7 years of every day use.

Same company as Shark. SharkNinja. Hell yeah, cheap homos unite.

bcrdukes 05-20-2025 11:27 AM

suck a big fat one you jerks

68style 05-20-2025 12:06 PM

Dyson fags, dirt ain't the only thing you're sucking

bcrdukes 05-20-2025 12:07 PM

Given the language used in this thread, a majority of us should have been technically banned. :lol

its also the high prices and smugness of ownership :accepted: dont make me get out my 300 dollar dyson hair dryer for my 3 remaining hairs!!! (p.s. quite useful when i used it to heat up the tint for my hitlerbox headlights).

Bought my wife a brand new one and subsequently used it a week later to stick up in a wall cavity to thaw my frozen water line :okay:

Lots of innuendo there lol

That hair dryer really sums up Dyson though. People cry about it on IG etc. but try and find a woman who owns one who doesn’t think it’s worth it

same, i think mine was on sale at the time just over $200 on sale pre-pandemic so probably around the same age... it just started crapping out...

mind you i don't vacuum as often as i should so i wouldn't say it got real good use.

go figure.
