He did get quite a bit out of a questionable group of players until they stopped listening to him.
I would think he knows what went wrong, he’s not a dumb guy, he can adapt and learn probably? Not sure but I mean I can see why he’d warrant an interview anyway.

Well the Canucks got bad… exactly when they changed those particular rules (brought in the lottery) so that it wasn’t the case anymore haha
I mean, fuck NYR too, Rangers were 18th overall in 19-20 but got the first pick (Lafreniere) when they qualified for that secondary lottery for losing in the qualifying round of playoffs. Also stole their best dman (Fox) from Calgary because of the stupid college rules.

Yah... slightly helpful to jump 13 positions in the draft and be a destination everyone wants to go to...
Fox falling into their lap was HUGE though. I really don't understand why they haven't closed off that college loophole yet.
They sure waited on Shesterkin tho... late draft pick but he's 26 already, took his time developing. Who knew Kreider was going to score 50 too??? He was borderline a goon a few years ago lol

Well in his 9 seasons prior he had six 20 goal season, two them he scored 28 goals. Goon or not he could score though for sure who would have thought 50 was possible. Based on his history I would have expected a ceiling and breakout of maybe 40 goals tops.

Mike Smith has been playing better than Darcy Kuemper. Kuemper's save % is barely above .900. He's been winning solely based on the players in front of him.
