NVM the Simone Biles story, this gymnast was better........... Seattle's own Kaitlyn Ohashi.

Then it all fell apart.

Video in the link, at the end is so touching.

I remember her, she was fucking amazing. Talk about taking a niche sport and taking it mainstream.

But nope, we can't have nice things or exceptional people. Everything has to be negative and shitty.

Her first video, at the end of her routine... how the fuck do you do a splits in the air 6 feet up and fall to the ground in it and just bounce up... maybe it's being a guy, but holy shit I had to close my eyes lol

The floor is made to absorb and spring back. She uses it to help her get out of it nicely. If the floor had no give, there’d be major injuries. Gymnasts’ bodies go through torture. Back surgery. Yikes!

I know it's springy but STILL

SkinnyPupp 08-15-2021 09:28 PM

I'm sure it still hurts quite a bit to do some of this stuff while making it look good

I loved how the female gymnasts at the Tokyo Olympics paid tribute to the greatest gymnast of all time, Nadia. She set the bar high and her accomplishments spurred on many a girls to do what she did. Back in Nadia's era, there was no social media like we have today. There was pressure, alright, but nothing like what the athletes of today face.

People just can't be nice. Why would you purposely go after an athlete like that? It's not like you could do better, and what's in it for you? You suck, so you get satisfaction by destroying other people's dreams? Sad, sad world we live in.
