Oh I'm sure it's changed a bit, but I still don't think Canada is a place where you'd encounter F1 hooliganism like what happened in Monza or Austria.

HonestTea 10-04-2022 11:14 AM

Barcelona's transportation system during F1 this year was WACK. Traffic (cars), buses, trains etc had insane queues(2hr+)

StylinRed 10-05-2022 01:32 AM

Yeah been hearing nothing but horror stories from most the GP's this year, not in terms of violence/racism just bad organisation, terrible access to toilets, lack of water etc

But hopefully next year everyone will have a hold on it, I also imagine crowds will be lower, this is like the first year of "back to normal" so everyone's itching to attend

pastarocket 10-05-2022 08:41 AM

-can't wait to watch the Japanese Grand Prix this Saturday.

10pm PST.

-weather forecast for that day/evening in Suzuka is sunny weather.

This seems to mostly be limited to the European GPs... Singapore GP seems to have been very efficiently run, and Montreal was OK from what I heard.

TypeRNammer 10-05-2022 10:39 AM

Speaking of the Japanese GP, Redbull and Honda are back together.

I'm so glad the Porsche deal fell through

Everyone's thoughts on teams who breached the cost cap? What's the right penalty for teams who didn't play by the rules? Or just didn't do a good enough job manipulating their numbers LUL

Great68 10-05-2022 01:51 PM

Well, nothing has been proven yet so before I form an opinion on it they have to confirm the offence actually happened. And if it did, to properly form an opinion I want to know the nature of the breach.

I'm going to be far more sympathetic to a breach if it was due to, say they were crashed into by another competitor and now they needed to spend a bunch of money to fix the cars, build new parts etc.

I'd be less sympathetic to say a team blowing over their cap because they simply spent more on development.

Inflation is a big factor here too, where a team that spent a whole bunch of money early in the season when it was lower could be advantaged over a team that spent more a bit later.

So I don't think it's so black and white.

just watched this live. FP1 coverage had (almost) ended, he was on his out lap after the practice start. binned it. car destroyed.

is this the end for Mick? Guenther and Gene must be losing their collective minds.

10 minutes before the F1 crew was saying that Nico is making moves to come back next year w Haas. This might have just sealed it.

What a fucking legend, Latifi blaming the car for taking a wrong turn

The car... real strange.

Absolute legend, he's going to end the year with a bang

De Vries to Alpha Tauri

I hope not, I think everyone's rooting for him too, he's just not performing:QQ:

Rare chance to watch a race live for me! Crazy start

Crazy start only for the restart to be suspended

Gasly is having quite an eventful race considering there's only been 3 laps LUL

Edit: Oh wow I was just getting caught up when I wrote that; this tractor incident could end up being a huge deal.

supafamous 10-08-2022 10:49 PM

Man, was so excited to watch the race tonight but it's looking pretty unlikely we'll get a race of any type at this race.

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2022 12:07 AM

LeClerc lost it on the last chicane! Finishes 2nd but they have to take that away I assume

Wish we could have seen Alonso fighting Vettel

Kind of a disaster of a race

LeClerc penalized, Verstappen is world champion.. They told him as he was standing around after his interview LUL

supafamous 10-09-2022 07:52 AM

Mess of a race by the FIA but at least we got some racing in. What an awesome track to see F1 cars run on (too bad 130R isn't as scary as it used to be though).

Now 3 races in our time zones on 3 very good tracks (though I never got why they had to reconfigure the esses in Mexico).

sonick 10-09-2022 08:37 AM

Great racing once it restarted.

Good thing i caught it on the replay and skipped all the delays instead of watching live.

sonick 10-09-2022 08:45 AM

Lol time penalty for Leclerc, Verstappen crowned champion during the post race interview wtf? So anticlimactic.

StylinRed 10-09-2022 09:04 AM

I have up on the race restarting, their refusing to race with full wets really makes rain in the forecast such a downer

Still set my pve to record, and glad I did, the restart was so entertaining! Shame we didn't have a PiP for all the battles!

No one was expecting the race to be full points, odd that they decided it would be :/ Perez fought like crazy to keep his WDC hopes alive only to get dunked on with that points scheme

TypeRNammer 10-09-2022 11:45 AM

Tons of good battles, like the post above I wish there was PiP or even a split screen to see Charles vs Checo, Ocon vs Lewis, Fernando vs Sebastian
