The Blackhawks have already sold $2.5 million worth of season-ticket plans for 2023-24 in the 1.5 hours since winning the #1 pick — including more than 500 new full-season plans.
Call it the Connor Bedard effect.
In the 90 minutes following 2023 NHL Draft lottery, the Chicago Blackhawks sold $2.5 million worth of season-ticket plans for the 2023-24 season, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
The sales spike included more than 500 new full-season plans, Pope adds.
In the 12 hours after the announcement, that sales figure has ballooned to $5.2 million, with more than 1200 new full-season plans, according to Pope
It's too bad that Aquaman does not get a penny of that season ticket revenue hahaha.

Kraken getting completely negated... (they scored as I typed this lol)
One Dallas goal had goaltender interference, but since it was outside the blue paint the goal counted. Aside from that Dallas is getting away with a lot of interference
These playoffs are so weird, with lopsided games back and forth in the west, and the two series in the east getting ready to end in 4 or 5 games

Everybody wants to ride the woke train or whatever it is that's the current latest trend to "care" about. But even I'm guilty of forgetting this incident altogether until it was brought up again.
While I strongly support the idea Chicago should have been punished, I can't say it was on the top of my mind during the draft... cause simply more shit has happened around the world since.
