I dunno, it feels scummy to buy tickets just to re-sell, but I gotta admit I’m tempted to do it… if I don’t do it, someone else will!

I'm assuming starts at $300 nosebleeds upto 2K+ floor.

To be fair, Vancouver scalping is higher risk, last time UFC scalpers took a massive L, 10 - 25% of seats were empty.

Yea but I don't think comparing UFC demographic tp Taylor Swift albeit this is 3 dates and in a stadium 3 times the size is even a close one imo. Dudes will just be like fuck it let's go back to buddies or a bar. The Taylor fans will go to great lengths to even just be outside the stadium let alone inside.

She was at the games, not on tour. I assume it was between legs of the tour

Edit: Yup American leg ended in August, international starts next week

68style 11-04-2023 08:34 AM

^ Trav got between those legs

And I think the NFL benefitted more than she did from it. Millions of girls suddenly became interested in football while maybe hundreds of football fans became interested in Taylor. The NFL (and its network partners) couldn't stop talking about Taylor being at the game in a "Taylor's here and you should be too" kinda way.

unit 11-04-2023 11:02 AM

i put myself on presale cause i want to help my friend and his kid, but if i get something other than just $100 nosebleeds then i'll be tempted to flip ngl, we'll see.

MarkyMark 11-04-2023 11:51 AM

Everyone I know so far that has registered for tickets are doing it to flip them lol

This 67 year old guy at my work that didn't even know who she was registered when he found out he could make a buck off it

^And this is why Vancouver is such a shitty city for concert experiences. I'm so sick of this hustle make money over everything culture in this damn city.

It's fucking jarring when it's cheaper to go to the same artist's concert in Seattle with an overnight hotel room then it is in this city for the ticket alone.

Fuck Vancouver and this scalping bullshit, one of the worst places in NA for this shit.

I know someone who already watched football but now in addition to watching her usual team she also watches Taylors boyfriends team. I think it's weird as hell to spend hours watching a musician you likes boyfriend play a game but that's just me.

I bought 2 Coldplay tickets for $676.38 (after fees and taxes) from Ticketmaster. Sold it for $500 each and the payout amount is $928.80.

That said where the fuck is my money.

I originally bought it with the intent to go, but I fucked up my car at the track so I needed the money. If it didn't sell, I would have went. But it sold a few hours before the show. I was selling it to ppl on my social media/Track Chat at cost so I wasn't trying to scalp.

I think it's fair to become a fan of a team or athlete for any reason imaginable. The easiest is "because they're in my city" but there could be an infinite number beyond that.

People fuckin scalp houses here. It's totally what makes this place shit. I'm glad the shows I go to for the most part don't make anyone enough money to bother.

underscore 11-04-2023 06:53 PM

However bad the scalpers are the scammers are going to be even worse.

Normally it's something related to the actual team that's playing though. I like Ryan Reynolds but I'm not about to go watch all the seasons of Gossip Girl because his wife is in it.

Not to argue, but that would be a totally valid reason to watch it IMO

I bought tickets to an event this week and was going to ask who wanted to join me. I tested out ticketmasters resale feature and I accidentally insta-sold at my test price to see how it works.

Made $2K in profit but I rebought all the tickets at a different seat and I'm taking everyone for free now.

Lol I just paid ticketmaster $450 in fees in the span of 12 hours. Idk my payout is coming I'm waiting for it too. it said 5-7 business days.

Taylor's bf sure plays better when she comes to the game.

Of course I'd also do better work if Taylor was my girlfriend and was cheering me on.

Vansterdam 11-05-2023 05:43 PM

buddy told me all 6 shows in Toronto is sold out and the cheapest resell ticket was like 2k.

in for resale lol

PeanutButter 11-06-2023 08:59 AM

Just had a family gathering yesterday and my cousin who is the biggest swifty fan ever has two tickets to Toronto and two tickets to the Paris show.

The Toronto tickets she bought for around $100 (balcony) are $3,300 on stubhub right now.

She said she's not going to sell it. Her hubby wants her to sell it because they're going to Paris for the show, but she doesn't want to.. She's crazy.

She saw the movie, she's going to say taylor in Toronto, and Paris... It's a whole different level of crazy.

I told her to sell Toronto and then enjoy her time in Paris as it would be paid for. But, she won't do it.

Gerbs 11-06-2023 08:59 AM

Skeptical if it's pushing @ $2K a ticket, maybe on TM, but local sales seems like no one is pushing it on FB groups.

mikemhg 11-06-2023 11:39 AM

I just want to reiterate you scalpers can eat a fat dick, fuck you guys :lol

Buy a ticket if you only plan to go to the damn show.

Manic! 11-06-2023 11:48 AM

Looks like there may be a hotel shortage. I wonder if there is a hotel room reselling website.
