How about buying it out? If they're giving you good money for compensation and they think it's worthless because the battery's no good - but you know it's fine - is it maybe worth taking the money and fixing just the rocker panel? Or heck even just bondoing it and calling it a day. Car still works and drives great right? Lol

If there's a warranted cause then I would agree cause a damaged battery may still work, but it would be a ticking time bomb. This isn't a gas car with a dented footwell we are talking about. Quote:

Not to mention diminish resale value. They actually told me to go buy it at auction when I asked.
