I know that golf club ! I’ve eaten and played there a few times. People say it’s ritzy but I think it’s kinda of a piece of shit. I don’t get why the wait list is so long.

Porsche hasn't really tried to be an exotic car manufacturer though, save for the fleeting 918 and Carrera GT they don't do exotic/hypercars... they've always tried to position themselves as racers and as the "reliable" supercar with the 911 and below...
It hasn't exactly worked out in some ways... as the saying goes "Bore score and 7 gears ago"

Ditto. Exotic is not in Porsche's language and likely never will be. The mirage of them being an exotic brand is their artificial limitation of allocation of their GT cars and anything in between outside of the Macan etc.

This one (HK Golf and Tennis Academy) is relatively new for the younger folk and they're always looking for new members lol (no money). It's 'only' about 2MHKD and you can join anytime. Old money vs new :x

It hasn't exactly worked out in some ways... as the saying goes "Bore score and 7 gears ago" | Even with the bore scoring they seem more reliable than most other supercars brands. Ferrari has nearly exclusively made high end cars for decades and they still haven't fogured out how to build one properly.

I'm pretty certain Badhobz's fams membership is corporate, meaning it can be transferred down to him once the old man lists him as a company director etc. A lot of these memberships have hefty transfership fees. Meaning you usually can't treat them as an investment and sell out for money. Quote:

Transfer Fee HK$3,440,000 | It’s a weird and beautiful place Hong Kong. Weird in a dystopian kind of way. Either you’re like super rich and live around repulse bay / ocean park area or you live in cage homes and commute in from Yuen long / new territories.
Every year my wife goes back and as soon she arrives back home she turns into this little bitch. I mean she’s already little so I guess she turns into this huge bitch and starts looking down on the peons scurrying around her. Drivers, maids, caretakers, etc.
I went to take the central escalators for fun last year and their entire family looked at me like wtf ?!?? How is that an activity ?! I asked them if they’ve ever went and they were like uhhhhh no?
It beats sitting around at the chariot club in a stupid room having this sad ass waiter kid serve you like you’re some sort of an emperor.

Sometimes I feel that these upper class clubs in Hong Kong are a bit boring. -not that I am a member of any of those clubs. My godparents are Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club members. Godfather has a horse, a jockey, and a trainer for his races at Happy Valley.
The food at these private clubs in HK are quite good though. Buffet at the Jockey Club in HK is good. -appreciate the times that my godfather talked to me how to pick horses that would have the best potential to win races. Binoculars are a must have for horse races haha.
However, I do find some of the staff at the private clubs to have a snobbish attitude. -not surprised by their attitudes. I asked one of the servers at the Jockey Club one time in Canto "Can you please tell me where are the washrooms?" She points me to the direction of the washrooms and then gives me a smirk, snobbish looks
Okay, I get it. I'm just a guest of one of your club members. No way to treat a customer though. Canadian plebs like me can only dream about eating at lunch buffet at the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club haha.
Overall, that club is a bit boring with the exception of the good lunch buffet and spending time chatting with my godparents. I could care less about horse racing haha.
The car scene is pretty big in HK though. You either see young people in their modified JDMs or the uber rich drive their exotics along roads in heavy traffic. NSX's are pretty popular there.
They have a passionate car culture in HK.
Pagani, Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, Bugatti, etc. Almost every exotic car imaginable is in HK. Some of the rich people pay millions just for a licence plate at auctions. Crazy money.

its really not my vibe, but i get why she loves it.
It seems the weirdo ultra rich have no other means of showing off, so they gatekeep weird things like golf clubs, yacht clubs, and venues. Last year they even had this temple festival at the Tsz Shan Monastery. All the social elites were invited and they blocked off access for regular people just so these wackos can....worship early? or in peace?
I met a whole bunch of TVB idiots that I don't even know, but my wife was like this is sooo and soo. I'm like so? and they were all shocked cuz they thought I would know who they are.
I just wanna go down temple street and have some chicken...

It stemmed from that "I art holier than thou" racist attitude that still persists in some circles today.

The only thing that I can think some of the ultra rich in HK do that has some value to society are their annual donations to charity foundations. The wealthy in Hong Kong do donate money to assist charities. Charities that help seniors with housing and healthcare needs for example.
Unfortunately, that's when the TVB big whigs need to create annual TV programs to show a bunch of rich men or women carry big cheques to show how much money they donated to hospitals and charities. Then get a bunch of TVB actors, actresses to do these stunts or lip sync songs while dancing badly, or hire some third string singers to perform at these televised events for fundraising.
What happened to the Chinese "values" of humility and living a low profile life? Uber rich in HK need to show off their generous donations on TV now by holding big cheques and wear their fancy clothes in order to validate their lifestyle and look good to their peers? It's become a competition of who can donate the most money among some rich people?
Some of the rich have great taste in exotic cars though. I'll give them that compliment too haha.

At what point would someone be considered "wealthy" in a place like HK?
