^Okay you’re a stick. Once again I don’t know why the hell any of you guys need to lose weight or do anything. If I had your bods I’d be eating fried chicken skin everyday and drinking bubble tea. |
Don't you already eat and drink that everyday? |

I do great during the day all the way until dinner, it's after dinner everything comes off the rails |
Losing weight is super easy it just takes MONEY, dedication and/or drugs. Money is the most important part, because all of the best foods to eat on keto to get shredded are expensive as fuck. Can easily spend $1000+ a month just maintaining a keto diet, especially if you eat meals outside of your house. |

Not drinking sodas and alcohol makes a huge difference for me. I was in Japan for two weeks and I barely touched any alcohol because I was jetlagged and also dealing with motion sickness. I can eat all the garbage I want (convenience store fried chicken and croquette baby) and I actually slimmed down. I look skinnier in the mirror now than before I went. |
Booze is the worst thing you can put in your body besides maybe hard drugs lol.. but even hard drugs probably have a less effect on cardio and weight In the last few years I’ve gone 4-5 months, a month at a time without booze. By the end of the month I feel way more “slim” clothes fit better, belly isn’t sticking out etc. The second I start drinking again feel bloated and gross. I can feel this even after a week to 10 days. Hitting the gym just eating normal I feel fine, weekend comes and pound back a bunch of beers etc Sunday Monday comes just feel bloated and gross and takes another 7-14 days to recover fully Nothing like a nice 3-4 beer buzz doe Think besides just the empty calories and carbs there’s a lot of inflammation that happens |

Long time no update! 5 months in and I'm now down to 172 (from 183), I've fully lost 3 inches on my waist (my wife says I don't have a belly anymore while my kid no longer slaps my belly and goes "Daddy's big belly"). This is the thinnest I've been in about 12 years or so - my wedding suit from 11 years ago is a bit loose on me. Other than regular exercise I'm no longer actively trying to lose weight - my diet is pretty casual (though better than before - I've had only 1 Costco hot dog this year). That said, I wouldn't mind gradually getting down into the low 160s which would put me around my year 2000 weight. I'm signing up for a personal trainer via the City of Burnaby (finally) so I get more focused strength and cardio gains. While I'm happy with my day to day functional fitness and energy I still feel below average - I want to run a 5k in 30-35m for one thing and I want some excess strength for day to day stuff. Blood test is next and I'm hoping to see improvement in my A1C and cholesterol. Also hopping Kensington Lifelabs hottie is available for a poke. |
Congrats man, so happy for you! |
BTW: Can anyone recommend a plant based (or a lactose free) protein powder that isn't super gritty? I switched away from Leanfit's whey based powder (the Costco one) due to the lactose but the plant based version is really gritty - it doesn't dissolve well at all. I use it in my overnight oats so blending isn't an option (but it's gritty even in smoothies). I'd also prefer something that's not flavoured. Thanks, |
I find that most plant-based protein powders are gritty. :okay: |
just eat more beef curtains |

I had forgotten about this thread until now. While in Japan I had hurt my hand and the diagnosis is a torn ligament(s). My physio has told me I cannot do heavy weights. No pushing or pulling on weights as pullups are a no, and bench is a no. That pretty much eliminates most upper body routines for me. The recovery period is 2-6 months and I am currently at something like 6 weeks. There's very minimal you can do to speed up recovery however the pain has subsided mostly as long as I don't twist my wrist. The torn ligament means some of the bones in my hand has very little positional control, at the very beginning of the injury certain movements would mean the bones in my hand to get caught and cause excruciating pain. That's mostly subsided now. In hockey, you hear some player has a wrist injury and their off season is a write-off and they come back into camp not being able to do any training in the off-season. I just learned how debilitating it is, and a wrist/hand injury truly means you cannot do anything lest you want to risk extending the recovery period or making the injury more severe. It also means I'm just hitting cardio now because I cannot do upper body much, and I can only do so many squats. |
you tore your hand ligaments doing what in japan????? soapland insurance wont cover these sort of injuries hamsup lo |
^ Expected response, wouldn't be RS if that did not even happen once :lol |
Oh that sucks ballz, and I'm sorry to hear about the injury as well as the limited options to speed up recovery. So how do you know you've fully (or mostly) recovered? Is it getting yourself scanned somehow (ultrasound / CT, etc.)? Or is gonna be thru functional testing? |
We want to know how your hurt your hand. |
^Them vacation fights with the wife are a bitch :lol |
