Accidentally walked 7.2km with almost 300m of elevation gain. Very mid and non-accessible to the falls. It was not worth it and bc I wasn't expecting to hike, this was awful LOL. I think we pissed off the locals and they decided to mess with us.. cause it was not 35 minutes one way.

spoon.ek9 07-22-2025 08:07 PM

how's everyone doing? staying on track? middle of summer, no time like the present to be in good (or at least better) shape!

I'm still holding strong with my macro on work days. Cheat day(s) are of course making my weight fluctuate but the love handles are gone and I feel so much freaking better about myself.

westopher 07-22-2025 08:36 PM

Staying incredibly medium. Eating well, booze I'm at 2-3 drinks a week, but not getting off my ass enough for exercise.

Badhobz 07-22-2025 08:42 PM

I’m getting fatter either from the weights or the food or both. I am stronger but also fatter.

Bitches at the gym says I look good but I can’t hear their lies through the sound of me eating their food.

red kryptonite 07-22-2025 09:42 PM

making zero progress :okay:

Gerbs 07-23-2025 06:11 AM

fatter got a gf

Hondaracer 07-23-2025 06:24 AM

Monday - Friday I’m trying to do 1 meal a day, 130-160 grams of protein and under 2000 cals. Honestly don’t know how else I can get by because I can’t do no Keto bullshit etc. anymore.

Workout 3/4 days a week then walking 10-15k steps a day on Monday’s and Friday’s when not at the gym, spent the last 2 weeks trying to lose water weight from a month in Europe.

Always laugh when you see the shit about “omg do you notice when you’re in Europe everyone is eating nothing but pasta and bread and you feel amazing. GMO’s! POISONS!! North American lifestyles!!!”

No.. you feel good cause you’re on fucking vacation and you don’t have the stress of life to burden you :lol

It's been a tough couple months - I had COVID in June and it was BAD and basically didn't work out for a whole month (I still have a mild cough from it). July has been a tough month diet wise - lots of birthdays and celebrations so my restraint has been bad (am also on vacation this week) so I'm up a few pounds (I bottomed out at 171 at the end of June, down from 183 in January)

OTOH, I started working with my trainer a little while back and I'm liking the results after just 5 sessions. Having him push me is really showing me how hard I can go and what I need to focus on.

Gf weight is real. It's a struggle when you're dating and it's at it's peak when you first start dating. Eventually you'll reach that point where you can step in and say hey, I need to change what I'm eating lol. Especially if you're only seeing each other 1-2 days per week. That leaves you 5-6 days to control your intake and then you can relax when you're with her. That's what I've been doing since going back on macro.

Haha to be fair it makes more sense when Americans say it cause they exclusively eat fruit loops and Burger King.

spoon.ek9 07-23-2025 06:58 AM

less processed foods, more walking, more physical activity in general, foods that are fresh and simple in nature. things that could easily be done at home but while on vacation in other countries it's just more readily available compared to north america. most people simply won't admit that they constantly make poor decisions in their lives and want to latch onto any quick solution that explains away said laziness. that's just how people are..

Hondaracer 07-23-2025 07:09 AM

I’m pretty certain No where in the world has access to the variety and quality of produce North America has. People just don’t utilize it

spoon.ek9 07-23-2025 07:21 AM

problem we have here is that processed foods are much cheaper and usually the quick, mindless solution for what to eat today. we are definitely spoiled for choice but also very poorly educated when it comes to choosing our diets.

unit 07-23-2025 07:39 AM

ive been going to the gym 3x a week for the last few weeks, feels pretty good. having it being semi-personal training helps in that i don't think of going to the gym as a choice, it's an appointment. its early still for me but i don't dread it so far. give it a few months and we'll see how i feel.

westopher 07-23-2025 07:44 AM

If you’re looking at the size of North America compared to the size of Europe, west Asia, North Africa there are for sure more options for fresh produce in that region compared to NA, but there is definitely no shortage of options here.
That said there is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY more access to processed garbage here and a premium attached to quality ingredients that makes it very easy to eat like shit in North America for the average persons education levels around nutrition.

this wasnt a quick or lazy solution my bro! i went out of my way to increase the amount of saturated fats, carbs, and processed chemicals i took in

Regular poutine? nah fuck that, add salty ass fried chicken to mine plz. :fullofwin:

i did share this with two co workers of mine... dem white bitches were amazed at how delicious this was compared to their cobb salad.

spoon.ek9 07-23-2025 07:50 AM

lol yes, yes I can tell this was a deliberate and well thought out plan of yours :lol

I might even try it on my next day off, honestly.
