They need to figure out Bichette first, ideally he'd come back as a second baseman cause he's not the best SS, but I'm sure he's gonna get offered some big cash from other teams so let's see how bad he wants to stay in Toronto.

Scherzer could go either way, he'll most likely sign a one year deal wherever he goes so money isn't really that important, he'd likely be the last guy in the rotation or used when the regular starters are gassed. He can only get worse at his age so he'd be more there as a mentor and eat up innings kind of guy I think. At the very worst he sucks and you drop him at some point in the season and there's not much money invested.

from all accounts that i heard it sounds like the jays were a really tight knit group that everyone absolutely loved playing for. the players wives were even all close. the players seem more sad about having to disband than losing the world series. also they said that it felt like an entire country was rooting for them not just a city or state

Nooooo ... don't be the Corey Perry of MLB. You will regret it. Stay in Toronto whatever the difference is not worth it.

I really think Bo will sign with the Jays, but I'm basing that off nothing more than a gut feeling lol

I'd be shocked if he went to the Dodgers though, dirty move that would be lol

Dodgers will sign whatever free agents they want, and the rest of the league will pick from the rest. Then they will win another WS, unless someone gets luckier than the Jays did

-latest news about Bichette:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article...t-bo-bichette/

If the Toronto Blue Jays lose Bo Bichette in free agency, it won't be for nothing.

The Blue Jays extended a one-year qualifying offer to Bichette on Thursday, ensuring they will receive a compensatory draft pick if he signs elsewhere.

For the 2026 season, the qualifying offer is worth $22.05 million.

Bichette has until Nov. 18 to accept the offer and play on that deal. Otherwise, he will enter unrestricted free agency for the first time.

The Blue Jays also announced several other moves on Thursday as they prepare their roster for the off-season.

^ please stay one more yr at that amount and get your pot of gold at FA the following season.

MarkyMark 11-06-2025 11:07 AM

He's definitely turning that down, it's just a formality for the Jays at this point to protect their ass if they can't sign him.
