Just heard on a news clip that Yesavage's contract is $57K this year ... !! What a deal ... :lol. Hope he somehow gets paid and a bag of $$ after this.

Yesavage deserves a huge raise in terms
of a bigger contract for sure.

The man lives in his pickup truck and bounces around hotel rooms now.

Yesavage, who will start Game 1 of the World Series versus the LA Dodgers, told Blue Jays reporters on Thursday morning that he’s been bouncing around different hotels in Toronto since first joining the roster.

“You should see my truck right now. It looks like a mobile home,” Yesavage joked. “I’m changing hotel rooms every time we leave and come back. I’ve had to consolidate and only bring necessities in my suitcase with me.”

He'll get paid, probably by the Dodgers

That's mostly because he was in the minors nearly the whole season so the $57 covers only his month on the MLB roster. He did get a $4.125m signing bonus so he's not starving in any way. Next season he'll make a bit over $800k which is peanuts but that's the way rookie contracts work.

Springer is expected to play tonight.

Go Jays go!!!

Yesavage mentioned he’s looking forward to his next paycheck which will include a bonus for playing the the World Series. Can’t really remember but it was quite a bit more than what he’s getting atm.

How about that anthem singing. I love it when someone sings in French without a scary amount of accent. Did a fantastic job. Even Schneider was moved by it. Either that or he’s anticipating a huge game.

Good start SeemsGood

Last year, each player on the winning team of World Series got like $450K. MLB might be the only league that players get a share of the playoff pie in terms of hard cold cash ... or is there any other league that splits part of the gate receipts for playoffs?

We got a hit! POGGERS

Thank god for Roger’s XFinity. Sitting outside giving out Halloween treats while watching the game. Cold as a witch’s pussy, but got zippo hand warmers. Not a single kid so far. Usually get about 50 kids by now. Last year I had over 200, iirc.

You sit down. You sit down. You sit down.

You sit down. You sit down. You sit down.

Gausman’s on fiyah. I haven’t seen him this focused in a long time. There’s no fucking around. We need to get some timely hits and Dodgers to make mental errors. Errors are going to be Dodgers’ chink in the armour, so to speak.

MG1 10-31-2025 05:44 PM

Fuck, when Yamamoto heads back to the dugout briskly like he just did, we are screwed. Errors, errors, errors………. It’s pretty much all we can hope for. Feel for Springer. You can’t cheat old age. I hope he gets a good pitch and hits it deep.

Sucks that they couldn't capitalize on the one error so far

Watch MLB limit the amount of intentional walks to three. I think that’s fair. People pay good money to see stars like Ohtani and Judge hit it out of the park.

SkinnyPupp 10-31-2025 05:56 PM

Down 3-0 against Yamamoto, GG

Such a rule can't work; they would just manually throw unhittable pitches again

whitev70r 10-31-2025 06:00 PM

Yah ... 3-0 with Yamamoto is a pretty difficult hill to climb. Game 7 here we come!

Raising pitch count or inviting an error (missed pitch by catcher).

MG1 10-31-2025 06:07 PM

Springer no longer a spring chicken, but he can git ‘er done.

Yeah this is part of why I don't like the int walk rule, but they wanted to speed up the game I guess

SkinnyPupp 10-31-2025 06:40 PM

Another hit let's gooooooooo

Good inning despite no score. Got them to get the bullpen going

whitev70r 10-31-2025 07:24 PM

Best chance now with Yamamoto out. Most dramatic ending, bottom of the 9th, 3 run homer to win this thing!
