The loser here is the Blue Jays. You are pretty salty.

Knew it was over after that 9th inning.

bcrdukes 11-01-2025 09:31 PM

I'll be attending the celebratory Dodgers Parade next week in person! :D

MG1 11-01-2025 09:42 PM

I'm very proud of our boys.

My other favourite team won, so there's that. Dodgers were very, very lucky. Down to the wire, it went.

I feel for Don Mattingly, but even he would say he's proud of the Jays.

Yamamoto MVP. People in Japan must be going nuts. Blue Jays have made a name for themselves around the MLB and the baseball fans around the world. One of the best game 7 and the series for that matter in the history of baseball..

Badhobz 11-01-2025 09:45 PM

Good for Yamamoto though… proud to see an Asian man get World Series MVP. WAY TO GO NIP !!!!

Not bad… for a guy who doesn’t even speak a lick of engrish.

2025 Blue Jays

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...season-lockout

Real World Series champions are built through the draft instead of paying for players.

You can bet on a 2027 season lockout because some owners of teams, ahem the DODGERS, just pay as much money as they can to try to win a championship.

Luxury tax on MLB teams?? Fuck that.

I am damn proud of the Blue Jays despite this heartbreaking loss in the World Series.

They exceeded expectations of baseball fans and Hall of Fame baseball analysts like Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and David Ortiz.

Nobody picked the Jays to win the AL East division. They win the division.

They beat the Yankees.

They beat the Mariners.

They lose a game 7 to the defending champs.

Every Jays player gave everything he had on the field.

Everything.

They have a tonne of respect from me and many baseball fans, players, coaches and managers in the MLB.

The Dodgers? Paying their way again to win another World Series.

Zero respect. Only baseball fans who live in LA and idiots who know nothing about baseball would cheer for this team haha.

The Jays have a bright future for many years. A great young pitcher in Yesavage. A team with offence from their players in getting hits and home runs. A strong team with defence. Good core players in Guerrero Jr. and Bichette.

A strong lineup of starting pitchers.

Do they need improvements in their bullpen?

Absolutely.

Go Jays go!

FUCK the Dodgers!!! :gun:

The stadium is very quiet

Christ. We needed this. As a country we really really needed this win. it would have brought so much national pride.

Gerbs 11-01-2025 10:04 PM

Half the people at our party hedged our bets to cope with the potential lost. That way Jays win!

+450 after 3-0
+600 after 7th

I didn't check after 9th inning because of the stream delay, it had spoilers.

tldr; still hurt

MG1 11-01-2025 10:10 PM

wow, so sad..... Clement's interview. Raw emotion. Rare to see players show so much passion

Don't know which commentator said this.......

"Usually the baseball gods get it right. This time they were wrong. The best team did not win." Not word for word, but I think the Jays have won the hearts of a lot of casual fans.

SkinnyPupp 11-01-2025 10:22 PM

It was easy to support the Jays as Canadians of course, but anyone who isn't a Dodgers fan that saw how their salary is higher than 26 combined teams would have supported the Jays too.

Can't hate on the Dodgers players or fans (except the shitty ones like the one we have here) either. Ohtani is a phenom, Yamamoto is a phenom.

The team is just playing by the rules of the league, and until they implement a cap system, teams like the Dodgers will continue to win championships. Jays came real damn close though! That catcher's foot was off the plate and he put it down right in time. So close

Great series - great plays on both sides, lots of memorable moments, very high quality of play and two teams that are full of likeable players. I could nitpick on some of the mistakes that were made that could have turned the series but in a game of inches that stuff happens and any one of a dozen plays could have made the difference.

This Jays team may have been a bit of a lightning in a bottle team - so many great stories of guys who were scrappy and made it to the big leagues, guys with so many clutch hits all season, and the the type of camaraderie that is super rare with any kind of team (sports or not sports). These players really truly love each other and have fun with each other. Super proud of how they went about their business.

whitev70r 11-02-2025 08:19 AM

Yah, you can see the heart, the fight, high level of skill, and the passion. No one will dump or shit on them for losing.

The other Toronto team, otoh, when they lose, they don't show up for game 7's, meltdown, choke, etc. Cannot say that about the Jays, they won our hearts even in defeat.

User since 2013, but half of all posts just in this past year. Something clearly happened in this loser's life that they're angry about and need to express it by trolling revscene.

Fuck

Tim Budong 11-02-2025 10:13 PM

The Jays got a good foundation, with Red opening the books for the team and giving infrastructural upgrades throughout the organisation.
Gotta open that check book now and really spend some on the roster.

I think the Jays have a great team, have the right pieces in place, have the right staffing for scouting and have deep pockets.

Now that there is a foundation in place, its time to dig deep into those pockets and start paying.

MarkyMark 11-03-2025 05:56 AM

Man you couldn't get any closer to winning and then just not being able to get it done. What a wild ride it was, hopefully they are able to get back sooner than later.
