The owner is a great dude too, one of my favorite smash burgers in Vancouver. They have a restaurant in Chinatown, along with 1 or 2 food trucks that are usually at Daggerad in Burnaby, or one of the brews in East Van.

Personal opinion, I've had a hashbrown inside a burger before, it didn't add anything. I legitimately felt it lessened my experience because I couldn't taste the hashbrown at all among all the other ingredients. I love hashbrowns (especially McD's) so given the choice I'd eat them on their own with some ketchup.
